Improper Total Success calculation (based on success metrics) in the Marketo program.

Hi All,

For the Program type Operational, we have the following statuses (in progression)

Ignored

Opened

Clicked

Logged In (is a success status)

Registered (is a success status)

Job Posted (is a success status)

Closed Won (is a success status)

As per my basic knowledge, Success should be an addition of Logged In, Registered, Job Posted and Closed Won.

However, for one of my programs these are the numbers:

Logged In = 0

Registered = 0

Job Posted = 2006

Closed Won = 594

Based on the above numbers, my Success number should have been 2600; but unfortunately 2416 is what my Success number keeps showing. I have tried refreshing the page/report numerous times but the number just does not change.

My prime concern is, this total success number calculation is working fine for all other programs with Type: Operational but for one program.

I have attached a screenshot of my program summary as well.

It would be great if you people can help me out with this.

Hi Prabash,

AFAIK, The "success" is computed when the statuses are changed on a lead, from a "non success" status to a "success" status. What you experience may happen when the definition of the success statuses was changed AFTER the leads were granted one these statuses.

So the question is: have you changed which status is a success (on the admin-> tags) after having granted such a status to some of your leads ?

The way to fix it is to recompute the successes. For this, you will need to create a smart campaign (note this cannot be done as a manual flow step). The target of this Smart campaign will be all members of program with one of the 4 success statuse. The flow step will be a "change program success".
