Increased Email Bot Activity - Emails with CVENT Links

Hi - Has anyone seen a spike in email bot activity from emails that include CVENT links?  We saw a huge bot activity spike from two emails with CVENT links in them. All other emails sent that day did not include CVENT links and did not show any unusual bot activity. Would love to hear about any experiences.

Yes, cvent.com is current listed on the URIBL-grey list, which will subject it to greater scrutiny.

@amdh  Not that it is guaranteed to stop 100% BOTS, but do you have BOT activity activated in Marketo?

Also for registration forms could you add a Honeypot hidden field to your Marketo forms?

The more we do the smarter the BOTS get!

Well, form honeypots don’t do anything (period!), and wouldn’t have any effect on mail security scanners even if they did.
