Integrating Email Metrics with Google Analytics

It would be extremely helpful for Marketo to create an integration so that email analytics can be connected and filtered into Google Analytics. Have any other Marketo Users have made use of third party integrations by creating their own connections into Marketo for email metrics?

Hi @paigehu,

 

One thing to keep in mind is that the Google Analytics terms of service prohibit the use of personally identifiable information. So if you were hoping to tie individuals' Marketo email activity to their web activity via email address, that would not be allowed.

@paigehu I know teams want to do this for various reason (longer storage, central reporting in GA, etc.) 

 

If you're interested in this for yourself, I'd be happy to talk you through the process to create an API connection to send your Marketo email metrics into GA4.
