Leads arriving as not specified through mandatory fields in forms

Hello Marketo Community,

Some leads in our database who've filled out forms are arriving as “not specified” as their name and/or company while it is a mandatory field. I wonder if this issue is related to the browser or to a incognito web surfing because there is no reason they would be tagged as not specified. It is affecting a small number of leads, but still it is pulling down our data quality.

Can the progressive profiling create this kind of issue?

Thanks!

William

The form does not contain the system LastName and Company fields but does contain proxy fields (...SFDCClone).

So of course the system fields will not be filled in.

Hi Josh and Sandford,

Here is the URL : Raleigh Craft Beer & Data™

You can see here the activity detail for the Fill Out Form :

There is nothing wrong to me...

Thank you!William

Like Josh says, you need to supply the URL of your page w/form.

Also please show a screenshot of the Activity Log details for a Filled Out Form activity (clicking on the Activity ID brings up the details). This will reveal the raw data sent with the form.

Incognito alone won't cause this, no. Only turning off JavaScript could allow this to happen (though only on a Marketo-hosted LP; if it's an embedded form on a Marketo page, JavaScript is always required).

No.

URL?

Hard to say. Sounds like it could be spam forms.
