Leads in Salesforce vs. leads in Marketo

Hi all,

I'm trying to see which leads are just in Market vs. leads that are in Marketo and Salesforce. What's the best way to do that?

Thanks,

Sammy

Hi Sammy,

Create a smart list with the following filter :

  • SFDC Type [Lead] is empty.

Hi Greg, I use the exact same method ;-)

I think it's called SFDC Type[Person] nowadays.Not 100% though.

There's a catch though! If you delete a lead from Salesforce and not from Marketo, it will still keep all the SFDC fields. The same goes for the SFDC Type[Person] field. So you would need an additional filter to exclude leads that are deleted from Salesforce.

Hi Diederik,

You are right on the leads deleted from SFDC and not from Marketo.

The filter is "SFDC is deleted" and "Lead was deleted from SFDC" filters that shouc ome into play.

Also, it may make sens to have some automatic smart campaigns that deletes from Marketo when they are deleted from SFDC, using the "Lead is deleted from SFDC" trigger.
