Limited number of characters for folder and programs names

Question

For a better planning of a naming convention strategy I would like to know if there is there a limitation in the number of characters that we can use for folder and programs' names?

I too have not reached a limit for naming. Agree with Alex to keep them to a reasonable length. The following are helpful resources;

@Karina GuerraI had similar question as we were doing an integration to an external system.I found out that the limit for program name and folder is 255 characters. The program or folder will not error out if you have a longer name, but it will truncate at 255 characters. I hope this helps.Harjot Singh
