Link in SMS not working

Hey Team,

This isn't question is not about a product, unfortunately there isn't a category for general help that i could see. 

The question is an oldie but a goodie, are people still experiencing links not working when they SMS a new lead/customer? It was quite prevalent 5 years ago, but i have joined a new organisation and it is impacting their URL's. 

Is there any reading anyone has come across that flags workarounds or solutions for this?
