Managing Duplicates In Microsoft Dynamics/Marketo Environment

Hello,

I am working on cleaning up a Marketo instance synced with Microsoft Dynamics and am seeing a lot of duplicates. When I attempt to merge duplicates in Marketo, I get an error message saying "Merging two Microsoft leads is not supported yet".

What is a good process for managing duplicates when syncing with Dynamics CRM? Do these always have to be merged on the Dynamics side?

Unfortunately, two or more duplicates that are either MS LEADS or CONTACTS, must be done within MSD.  An idea has existed for some time now, but this doesn't appear to be on Marketo's roadmap.

@dan_stevens_ Can you successfully merge a Marketo only with a Marketo record that is synced to Dynamics?
