mapping tags to SFDC Campaign Fields

SFDC campaign sync is a bit newer to me and i'm currently testing it in our sandbox (for both marketo and salesforce). When we create a program, we typically update the set up tab with appropriate tags such as region, division, author, etc. Now, since they are tags and not fields necessarily, they don't get mapped to the newly created synced SFDC Campaign created within the program. Is there a way to map the program tags to related fields in sfdc (ie Region, DIvision..etc)? Or is it something I will have to manually update when a new SFDC Campaign is synced?
