Marketing Calendar with Upcoming Emails

When you have many campaigns running, it can be difficult to know which emails will be delivered on what day. I'd like to see a calendar, like that in Outlook, showing which emails will go out at what time on each day.

That will make it easier to avoid overlapping emails and spot gaps in communication.

So this feature has been in dev for over 2 years??

I feel like I am jumping for a hanging carrot here.  Our leadership is under the impression that we will have this function soon.  I have to keep delaying and delaying...  Were is the since of urgency?  There clearly is a vast amount of interest here.

I wish Marketo would be more transparent and disclose what is really going on here.  To continue to lead us on and tell us it will be here soon is bad business.  It makes me look bad when I tell other departments that the functionality will be here soon.

Marketo, please be honest and disclose your efforts for this enhancement.   Is this enhancement feasible?  Is it going to happen?  Where are we in the process?  Can we get you all to give a date that we can hold you too?   Can we hold each other accountable going forward instand of making false promises??

There are other compeititors out there they are more transparent in there efforts.  I think you own it to your loyal customers to give accurate updates and temper expectations appropraitely.

Thanks

I was wondering if we can import google calendar contents to this calendar?  I'm currently using that calendar to track our outgoing campaigns.

This is really critical for our work - and it is something we had with our previous tool.   I hope that the emails/campaigns will be clickable from the calendar too.

This calendar will be an essential tool once it gets up and running. Can't wait to see the next update or sneak peek from Marketo.

We have a team that sends emails to our shared database.  RIght now we are using an excel sheet to have everyone schedule send times and it would be great to be able to pick a slot from a calendar or at least be able to see what is on the schedule.

Any updates on the Q1 rollout?

Hi Jeff,

I like your workaround. Does your calendar cover all regions or just one?

FYI We have 7 business zones with as many sales teams and I'm wondering if sales should have access to all ww activities or just the ones covering their business zones.

Thanks

In the IF you can't wait category.....

The is no sync to Marketo but we have started using Outlook as our calendar of record for all of our campaigns (as opposed to Excel). It's been working extremely well the past month.

Not only can marketing use it to keep track of what's happening, Sales can look up the next week's/month's happenings whenever they need--there is no need to keep updating some excel file on the network. We had IT set up a special Marketing Planner Calendar in Outlook and then shared it across sales and marketing using a color coded system. This literally took us an hour to populate once IT set things up.

Additionally, we put all of the campaign assets within the calendar item so sales can always get access to the actual HTML file for webinar invites, links to campaign members within SF, followup information and more.

Questions like "Where is the link to the registered leads?" 'What is the new email signature?" and "What does the email look like?" can all be answered by visiting the calendar. Sales doesn't have to rely on event update emails the marketing team sends out.
