Marketo Engage Social Features Deprecation
On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Marketo Engage will begin the deprecation of the following Social features within the product:
• Polls
• Social Button
• Referral Offer
• Video Share
• Sweepstakes
Why we’re doing this
When we deprecate older features that have low usage, we can reallocate their resources to the overall maintenance of Marketo Engage, which in turn creates an improvement in performance for users across the board. It also helps to ensure features with higher usage get updated and enhanced more frequently.
Dates and Details
As of July 31, users will no longer be able to create, clone, or embed any of these Social features in Marketo Engage. Existing Social assets will continue to work through January 31, 2025. On February 1, 2025, Social assets will cease to function. Social features embedded in Landing Pages will need to be removed.
