Marketo to Marketo Migration Nurture Campaign Cutover

We are doing a Marketo to Marketo migration and want to migrate people from old to new nurture programs (program import clone) without repeating or skipping content.

Any suggestions?

The journeys are up to 180 days, so we can't let people run out in the old instance.

Hi Andy,

There are some ways with which you can make sure your audience doesn't flow through same flow step twice.

Firstly, with instance migration your program membership and activities will also be migrated and when you activate your new instance Marketo will remember the records that had already passed through a flow step or a content in your nurture program.

Additinally, your activity history from old instance will be imported as custom marketo activities and you can use them as additional filters in your smart campaigns and stream transition rules.

Thanks

As a matter of fact, as this is a new engagement program effectively, it will not remember who went through which step in the nurture stream anymore. However, when you have content programs added to your stream rather than simple emails, adding the people back as members into the content programs will ensure people do not get that content twice anyway.
