Need to Understand Marketo Opportunity Header field Information

Hi,

In the opportunity tab, we have 3 fields named "Number of Opportunities", "Total Opportunity Amount" & "Total Opportunity Expected Revenue". Are these fields getting updated based on new opportunities or how?

Opportunities will be created via the API from a sender's system, so in that case, will these fields be updated automatically?
