Are we able to include an outlook invite in an email (outside of webinar events). We looking to set up a few alert-type messages and sales reps are interested in possibly including an OI invite for each customer to discuss the content in that renewal alert.

If you are talking about .ics files, yes they can included in any emails. the the .ics content will be defined at program level, so not really suited for appointment setting, as you will not be able to set a different date/time for each addressee.
