Phone number field format

Hi all,

According to this post phone number field input values should be able to contain characters like "-" or "+". https://nation.marketo.com/t5/knowledgebase/marketo-field-limits-by-field-type/ta-p/299978

However, with one customer I am now seeing invalid field notifications if these characters are used. There are no input masks in place, so it seems a generic change in field type settings. This is happening since a few days. Is anyone else seeing this change?

Thanks!

Thanks for checking guys! It is instance-specific then. Will raise a ticket with support.

Can you link to the form that’s showing this behavior?

Apologies for not getting back, a bit of holiday getting in the way.

It seems as though the issue has magically resolved itself. I will check with other users what happened during my absence.

Interesting, I just tested this in my sandbox, and I was able to write "+1-111-222-3333" (i.e., a value with "+" and "-") to a Phone type field (Phone Number). Marketo's documentation has also mentioned "111-111-1111" as an example value for the Phone type field, so I do think that the Phone Type field still supports "-" and "+" characters.

Yeah, can’t see a regression here at least in my sandbox. I’m able to post a form with leading + and interleaved - no problem (and it does get saved to the back end).
