Remove 'Select' text from selector dropdown

Is there anyway to remove the Select... text in the select field type?

Delete the value and change the default. There will be a blank row in the edit screen, but on the form itself, it won't show up, see below.
Keep in mind though, if you set the default to an other value but "Select..." you run the risk of people just submitting the form with the default value instead of updating it so it's accurate.
