RTP with anonymous web activity and cookies

I think I know the answer to this, but could someone confirm for me?

If I were to visit page A on my laptop as an anonymous visitor, would my behavior as an anonymous visitor on the laptop carry over to a mobile specific segment? The goal is to personalize a site based on someone visiting page A, but I'm wondering if it only tracks across devices cookied for that anonymous visitor.

Thanks!

Is there not a thread on this already?

So I would say that across devices, no, this wouldn't normally work for anonymous. How would it know you are the same person on a different device or browser unless you were already known? If the lead were using the sync feature of their OS, then it's possible you could do this.
