Salesforce Sync Error

I keep getting error when we do the Salesforce Sync:

Error details:
FIELD_INTEGRITY_EXCEPTION: There's a problem with this state, even though it may appear correct. Please select a state from the list of valid states.: State/Province

Please select a state from the list of valid states.: State/Province" indicates an issue with Salesforce State/Province picklists during your Marketo Sync. Here are some potential causes and solutions:

1. Mismatched State/Province Values:

  • State in Marketo doesn't match Salesforce Picklist: Make sure State/Province values in Marketo match the exact format and spelling accepted by Salesforce picklists. This includes abbreviations (e.g., NY vs. New York).
  • Country vs. State mismatch: Verify if the entered State/Province belongs to the selected Country in both systems. Inconsistent values can trigger this error.

2. Salesforce Picklist Configuration:

  • Restricted Picklist: Verify if the State/Province picklist in Salesforce is configured to accept custom values or only pre-defined ones. If restricted, ensure values in Marketo match the predefined list.
  • Case Sensitivity: Check if Salesforce picklists are case-sensitive. Inconsistent capitalization (e.g., "CA" vs. "ca") can cause errors.
