SFDC sync: Marketo Person object to SFDC Contact (Human) and SFDC Lead (Inquiry)

I am looking for other users who have their Marketo/SFDC configured this way:

• Marketo Person object represents the 'human' and syncs to the SFDC Contact object (bidirectional)
• The SFDC Lead  object represents the inquiry (Marketo > SFDC only)

In other words:

1. John Smith fills out a webinar form on the website 
2. John, new to the database, is created as a new Person in Marketo and as a new Contact in SFDC with the contact status "prospect"
3. A week later John fills out a sales form on the website
4. This activity is logged in John's Marketo Person record activity log  
5. The sales inquiry is created in SFDC as a new Lead, associated with the existing SFDC Contact

This means that John's Contact record in SFDC can be associated with multiple sales Leads, each to be worked by a different sales team, and to be converted to separate sales opportunities.
