Smart list is bringing people in that it should not

Hi there,

I am trying to build a smart list excluding members from another smart list, however, almost all the the people from the 'Top Accounts' smart list are being brought into this new smart list.

Has anyone run into this before/does someone see an error in my logic or filters? Thank you!

by default the smart list is created with "and rule" but just in case check if in the smart list rule logic selected is : "Use ALL filter (1 and 2 and 3...)"

It's right there in the screenshot: ALL is selected.

Please check if members in "Top Accounts" are part of Marketable contacts already.. there might be an overlapping result. Please double once.

Well... if one filter requires that they're not in another Smart List (remember, these filters are set to ALL) that would not inflate the numbers. It can only deflate the numbers.

Nothing looks wrong with the Smart List offhand. It's possible that your results are cached. To test this, add a another dummy condition.

For example:

Email Address is not 6b2d97f4-d551-4ed2-9881-06152d7933c4@email.invalid

then refresh the People tab and see if it's any different.

I just gave that a try and am still getting the same people in the smart list.

I would go back to the nested Smart List and see that it has the right criteria. Very, very rare for there to be a true problem with filter results.
