Sync direction and setting master source

Is it possible that once a lead is linked to a record (contact) in Salesforce, to force the Account information to be "mastered" by SFDC?

Meaning, that updates to the Marketo record will not take effect, and that any data updates will be written back (or potentially flagged for review) if it differs from the value in SFDC.

Account level data is mastered for me in our ERP, then to Salesforce.com (with a few additional informational fields in SFDC).

We do not want Marketo to overwrite this, as the data will be overwritten in a batch process each night, and then synched back anyway.

Is there something in field mapping we can do here?

Hi Geoffrey,

You can prevent Marketo from making updates to SFDC by blocking field updates:

Block Updates to a Field - Marketo Docs - Product Docs

I know it's not ideal, but you'd need to go through each synced field and disable updates.
