We are trying to sync our Marketo instance with SFDC. There is a Standard object in SFDC as "Assets". While it is not a standard field in Marketo. I wanted to know if we can create a Custom object in Marketo as "Account" and then sync the details. Thanks

An SFDC custom object can be mapped in Marketo as a custom object, surely not as a field.

You need first to establish your sync, then you will be able to go to admin -> "Salesforce Object Sync" and activate the sync for the assets objects, which is linked to accounts. This will generate triggers and filters that you will be able to use in smart lists. You will be able also to use these custom objects in velocity scripts to render the values in emails.

Thanks Greg !

I just wanted to confirm can a Standard Object in SFDC be mapped to a Custom Object in Marketo. "Asset" is a Standard Object in SFDC but there is no such Standard Object in Marketo, so can we create Custom Object and sync ?

Thanks

Hi Sushant,

Yes, you can map this standard object as a custom one.
