Track leads on an external website with several marketo Landing Pages

Hi everyone,

 

I'm facing a problem and try to find a solution.

 

We organize a virtual event using a wordpress instance on which will be hosted several cta redirecting to marketo landing pages in which we host videos.

People will register for the event. They will receive a link to the wordpress page grouping together all the Landing pages. Then they will click on the different landing pages to watch the different videos.

How do I track who is going to watch what? How to have all the information of the journey of this lead already registered in marketo through a form?

Does your Wordpress page have the same top level domain as your Marketo pages and are both places using HTTPS (so cookies live longer)? If so; when you deploy Munchkin on your WordPress site you should get tracking in scenarios like you mentioned by sending an email from Marketo after a form fill to direct people to WordPress.  On Wordpress you will also want to consider adding URL parameters that take people to Marketo Landing pages.  This last part is a related topic that will help you with the efforts to organize and respond videos being watched.

    Sounds like the right direction for solving the issue.

    In addition, you could consider setting up a program specific field with a concatenated value for all of the different video links clicked. How to set this up depends on how you set up the rest of the process, but the idea is that every time the person clicks through to one of the video pages / clicks on the actual videos you add a value to this history field in addition to what was already present in the field. That way the one single field will give you a good insight into the journey of that person.
