Trigger based off expiration date -- with 6 month lead time.

Is it possible to trigger a campaign based off a date (for us, it's an expiration date) but start sending the emails six months before the date starts? I'm dealing with multiple renewal cycles of time in about 40 different states. I'm trying to find a way to create one campaign with tokens and segments for states to all flow off of one trigger.

Here's a similar example of what Jamie recommended. Drop me a line if you need help in implementation along with MKTO segments.

Hello! This is a fantastic tip - thanks so much for sharing

Has everything behaved as it should if people are in the wait steps for up to a year?

Thanks!

You can use a Date token to do this.

Basically you populate the lead record with the expiration date as a field

The in your flow you choose a wait step

Select the little gear to the far right of the wait step

In type choose date token

In end on choose the field that contains the value, minus 180 days

Then begin your nurture as you normally would.

This will completely solve your problem for all users.

I'd look at this as a countdown, and perfect for a score field.
