Hi guysI'm currently working on an import task that requires me to import thousands of employee images at a time. Since this requires some specific tasks to be performed I decided to use a dedicated workflow for this and to exclude the target DAM path from the default "DAM Update Asset" workflow.I tried [0] first but it didn't work for me. Then I tried to put a "Goto Step" with the below JS in front of the default workflow and a "No operation" step at the end to which the "Goto Step" is jumping if the condition is met.function check() { try { var emplPath = "/content/dam/employees"; var assetPath = workflowData.getPayload().toString(); var result = assetPath.indexOf(emplPath) !== -1; log.info("Employee check for " + emplPath + " returns " + result); return result; } catch(e) { log.error(e); return false; } }This is working fine and I'm also able to exclude multiple locations if needed however I'm wondering if this is the best way to approach this requirement. Is there some kind of best

We performed an in place upgrade of our 5.6.1(TarPM) instance on dev to AEM 6.1(TarMK). We followed the steps provided in the official documentation and  it was successful. After the upgrade I see that 5.6.1 repository folders/files (Tar journals, index, tarpm, crx 2 repository config. files etc) present along with the new segment store of TarMK. I believe except for the datastore folder all these files/folders can be safely deleted to reclaim disk space and clean up the installation folders for operation maintenance?  Is there any official script available which can clean up these files or a list of files/folders which can be safely deleted after the upgrade ?

Hi,I am trying to create a mobile site using MSM with Live Copy.  The following describes the steps taken to create my mobile site.1. Browse to siteadmin2. Under Websites, click on New and select New Live Copy3. Enter a title, a name, and set Live Copy From to /content/geometrixx-outdoors/en4. Uncheck Exclude sub pages5. In Sync Config, add Standard rollout config and Geometrixx Mobile6. Click CreateThe resulting mobile site ended up to be an exact copy of the Geometrixx Outdoors site.  The template used for its content pages are Content Page with Left Sidebar.  When we look at the out-of-box Geometrixx Outdoors Mobile Site, we see that the home page has the Mobile Homepage template and all its content pages are based on the Mobile Content Page template.  How do we get the created mobile site to use the Mobile Homepage and Mobile Content Page template?  When we selected Geometrixx Mobile in the Sync Config, we thought the created pages will honor the properties in the editMap and conve

I want to get the excerpt(5 words before and after the search term) for the given fulltext search. I am trying hit.getExceprt() and it returns null. I know that I can set the excerpt properties in web console, but we can only set the jcr:properties there and I am not sure how to specify the content to include in the excerpt. I also read that you can write a query in the indexer to index the summary. I am not sure how this is done and if it is the best approach. Please help.

Hi Team,we have set up the short url in the system using etc/map which are internally re-directed to the long version of it. Examplehttp://<host_name>>/<locale>/category/product.html ---this maps to a long url within CQ http://<host_name>>/<locale>/year/category/family/product.htmlIssue is that when someone activates the page within CQ then the long url cache gets cleared at the dispatcher side. But the short url cache remains the same. Is there a cleaner and scalable way to handle this scenario. Please adviceThanksNitin

Hi,I have a requirement to limit the max file size of assets uploaded to DAM. I found this possible solution:http://experience-aem.blogspot.com.br/2014/12/aem-6-sp1-classic-ui-restrict-large-or-small-files-upload.htmlBut it is related to classicUI, and I'd like to restrict that for all interfaces(Touch, Classic, WebDav.), is this configurable? Does anybody have some suggestions for this requirement? Thanks

Hello,I'm trying to connect a local instance of AEM 6.1 to my Adobe Digital Publishing SOLUTION  account. I created a connector using the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite under tools/operation/cloud/cloud services. Entered the credential to my master account. Tested the connection to make sure it worked. So far so good. I then proceeded to the page, using the Apps menu on the left hand side. Clicked the create button on the top nag menu. Now based on the video I watched at https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-solution/how-to/cms-integration.html?set=digital-publishing-solution--fundamentals--content-authoring I was expecting to get a create app submenu, unfortunately this was not so. I only have a create folder submenu. What am I missing here. Do I need some additional configuration. Any help would be appreciated Thanks -Alain

Hi,We are intending to do an upgrade from CQ 5.3 (on WAS) to AEM 5.6.1 SP2 (on CQSE)The approach is what we are trying to decide and for the moment, this is our thought:1) Install the new AEM 5.6.1 SP2 (on CQSE)2) Install the CQ5.3 templates and components from existing CQ 5.3 instance. There is very little customization done on the existing installation.3) Recompile the jar files and upload them in AEM 5.6.14) Install the content package from existing CQ 5.3 instance. As this is not the regular 'inplace' approach suggested by Adobe, I would be interested in finding out if anyone else has done in a similar way and if yes any issues faced on their way to upgrade. Regards,Satish Sathe
