Solved

Hi,Currently I am using CQ5.5 for our application and I have customized the search component as well.In our application this search functionality is working on digital assets and I have uploaded only pdf documents in DAM.Where I am searching the keyword "settlement" against a document, not getting the result though the PDF document contains the word. If I search for "atm", I am getting the result.I am  getting the same issue when, I am trying to perform fulltext search operation from the 'damadmin' fulltext search option url: http://localhost:4502/damadmin and context explorer search option as well. Please suggest. Thanks,Debal Das

Hi All, I  need to migrate 52,000+ records to CQ5 . I am confused that whether I should go for cq:page or nt:unstructured nodes for these records.Going for pages will help us in maintaining and authoring these records. We also have to execute  full text search on these nodes or pages. My query is whether going for cq:page structure will add extra overhead for CQ?

Hi,I have created 2 pages in CQ using different templates. I have a link in first page on click of which I will land on second Page (using <a href> in first page). Now I want to pass some parameters (either in map or list) from first page to second page.Kindly let me know what is the best way to pass information between pages (through request , session or cookies?).Thanks in Advance. Regards,Sagar

Hi, I've uploaded a .mp4 video to http://localhost:4502/etc/dam/video/firefoxhq.html and i received the following error:Error transcoding: input/jcr:content/jcr:data

I want to create a remote session to another repository from within a repository, means I have a servlet running inside a CQ5 author instance. I tried to open a connection to a remote repository with JcrUtils:Repository repository = JcrUtils.getRepository( "http://myhost:4502/crx/server" );This causes an error message:javax.jcr.RepositoryException: Unable to access a repository with the following settings:org.apache.jackrabbit.repository.uri: http://localhost:4502/crx/serverThe following RepositoryFactory classes were consulted:Perhaps the repository you are trying to access is not available at the moment.any ideas?

Hi,I am trying to access workflow instance node for checking some property (this is being set in previous step). I tried using workItem for getting workflow instance node inside check()var path = workItem.getWorkflow.getId(); // workItem is not available --- tried graniteWorkItem as wellNode wfNode = workflowSession.getSession().getItem(path);//Then I can do hasProperty on that node. But workItem is not accessible? Is there any other way where I can get the instance node path? This is output  path I am expecting - "/etc/workflow/instances/2013-12-02/model_1385973603042334000"

Using AEM 5.6.1...I'm able to authenticate successfully using Facebook while in authoring mode.  Once the configuration is moved to the publish instance, the sign in doesn't ever bring up the Facebook website to authorize the app and it logs the user in as anonymous.  Also the popup window does not close itself in this case.  I did notice that when I would go to crx/de, my Facebook user would be logged in there.  Another strange behavior is that Facebook login was working until I applied the hotfix for twitter cq-5.6.1-hotfix-3408.Can someone provide a list of steps for pushing Cloud Service configurations from author to production?  I've already followed the ones outlined here? http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/administering/social_communities/social_connect.htmlThanksDavid

What is the criteria for the mobile device detection? What mobile user agents are/aren't forwarded?

Hello,I am trying to delegate a workitem to another user in the group but with custom participant step, this simply does not happen..Anyone with suggestions? I see the below error. In my workflow i added a dynamic participant step and in code i returned a group name, i don't see the reason why the users within the group cannot delegate tasks.

I'm especially looking for:(a) any email Marketing - related best practices(b) for any groups using ExactTarget with AEM, information about what tasks you perform in AEM vs. Exact Target(c) anybody doing sophisticated segmentation using AEM- would like to hear more about the technology stack you're using, and how AEM fits into the mix.

I'm trying to write custom file upload component for CQ5.6, but I meet the problem with reverse replication. Node created in Publish instance, but not replicated to Author instance. After replicator call, next line appears in error.log:com.day.cq.replication.impl.ReplicatorImpl Replication triggered, but no agent found or selected.Replication agents are turned on. In other cases, userforms for example, replication works successfully, so I'm think the problem is somewhere in my code. There is the code I use in the servlet:Node node = session.getNode(path); ValueFactory valueFactory = session.getValueFactory(); Binary contentValue = valueFactory.createBinary(is); Node parent = node.addNode(fileName, "nt:unstructured"); parent.setProperty(DELETED, false); parent.setProperty(DESCRIPTION, description); Node fileNode = parent.addNode(fileName, "nt:file"); fileNode.addMixin("mix:referenceable"); Node resNode = fileNode.addNode("jcr:content", "nt:resource"); resNode.setProperty(Property.JCR_DA

Hello, I am new to AEM and I am testing the tutorial http://blogs.adobe.com/aemtutorials/2013/07/24/customize-the-client-context/ on my laptop. I have downloaded the code from 'https://github.com/Breiz41/customstore.git' and did 'mvn install' and created a zip file in the target directory. Then I uploaded the zip file 'customstore-1.0-SNAPSHOT.zip ' from the URL http://localhost:4502/crx/packmgr/index.jsp into the jcr at location /apps/customstore.Are these the correct steps to be followed to test drive this tutorial? Now I am testing the geometrixx-outdoors application at the URL http://localhost:4502/cf#/content/geometrixx-outdoors/en/men/coats/edmonton-winter.html and I have opened the Client context dialog from the sidekick toolbar icon. I can verify ctrl + alt + c, also opens the client context window. I have set a break point using Chrome on the client side customstore.js file and in json.jsp on the server side, using eclipse IDE. I can verify the local variable url has a value o

Hi,If I have a custom sling servlet for pulling back dynamic content how does that work with the dispatcher eg around caching and invalidation. Thanks

Hi,maybe I'm missing something, but why in the default page component (I checked both 5.0 and 5.5) in the head.jspwe find : <meta http-equiv="keywords" content="<%= StringEscapeUtils.escapeHtml(WCMUtils.getKeywords(currentPage, false)) %>"<%=xs%>> <meta http-equiv="description" content="<%= StringEscapeUtils.escapeHtml(properties.get("jcr:description", "")) %>"<%=xs%>>instead of <meta name="description" .....   and <meta name="keywords" .... Using the "http-equiv" syntax is not seo friendly .Regards,Gianantonio.

Hi,Does anyone know if it's possible to have two different versions of the same bundle active? Or CQ only allow the last version of the deployed bundle to be active? For example:I have 2 bundles: myapp-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar, myapp-1.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar. Supposing bundle myapp-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar  is installed and activated. And i want to install now the last version (myapp-1.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar). When the last version is installed, the previous version (myapp-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar) is no longer active...so there's my question: its possible to have two different versions of the same bundle active? Thanks in advance.David.

Hi Back ground : I am trying to create Book rental web site. When i am uploading a Image in Asset section i am able to see some default properties like (Title, description, creator, contributor etc....) but i want to add my own properties like Descripton of Author, # of chapters, Cost of the book etc. How can i acheive this.

I've searched, found a few things but nothing works, please see the attached image of the error when attempting to install.Note, this worked perfectly on my local machine but it's win 7 64 bit.

Could it be possible to Define a Quick Action like "Show With AdobeDrive" (to access the original file) instead of "Download" (a yet a new local copy...)?I want to use AEM DAM to rationalize the use and share of graphics data. The Web tool to browse, search and find is very convivial and user friendly, but how to use the results to open the founded file in Photoshop or insert it as referenced link in Illustrator... Many thanks

Please tell me If there is a way to provide a warning message to the authors if an author tries to add an asset to a page

Hello,I have found abundance ofcom.day.cq.analytics.sitecatalyst.ImpressionsImporter Reading analytics data failed for /content/project/division/type/jcr:content/analytics/polling javax.jcr.PathNotFoundException: cq:wsCompanyerror messages in error.log. Hi guys, I have an issue with rich text editor. Lets say I have rich text editor and I want to set initial value for it using crx de. I set the value of property text to <a href='someAddress'>...</a> using single quotation mark for attribute value. Then I see the result and the link pointing to the correct address. Then I switch to editor mode, edit text and save it - tag a is still here but without href attribute. But if I use double quotes like <a href="someAddress">...</a> everything works fine. Is it expected behaviour? Bug? The version of AEM is 5.6.  Thanks

Hello everyone,I'm trying to customise the default search page on the siteadmin section. I've tried to add the default tag namespace ("Standard Tag") to the search form but looks like it doesn't work.I mean the default namespace has been added but I can't find the pages that conain tags in the default namespace.Maybe it is some kind of a bug, because the search works fine for my custom namespaces. The search tags have been extended in the following node:/libs/wcm/core/content/search/searchpanel/facets/tagoption.. where the optionsPaths property has been changed to /etc/tags/default So, if it's a feature of the default tag namespace that's fine but in this case I need to know how to change the default namespace for non-existing tags that users could add using the page properties dialog. Any help is really appreciated P.s. Just in case, I'm using CQ 5.6.1

Hi,we are using jQuery UI with custom extensions in our sites to create, for example, dialogs using jQuery UI dialog. In the author environment, we are facing issues because CQ also adds imports of jQuery UI (JS and CSS). In the page source there is a JS script block where GraniteClientLibraryManager.write is called, importing for example /etc/clientlibs/granite/jquery-ui.js and /etc/clientlibs/granite/jquery-ui.css.Where is jquery UI (dialogs etc) used by the authoring environment? Is there a proposed best approach to be able to use jQuery UI in a site without clashes with the authoring environment?Would it be possible to enclose the CQ/Granite dialogs in an own UI widget CSS class name to separate it from our site specific UI? One solution we have thought of is to reset the jQuery UI styles using our own overriding CSS, but this does not seem like a suitable solution since it would require more CSS to load and simply unnecessary work.Any input on this would be much appreciatedThanks,J

I'm not sure if this is a possibility, but is there a feature in Scene7 to create swatch sets upon uploading assets? Say, for instance, I have an image named "ASW100-BK001.jpg" and a swatch asset named "ASW100-BK001_SW.jpg". Is there a way to configure Scene7 so that it recognizes that anything with "_SW" is a swatch and should be placed in a Swatch Set with "ASW100-BK001.jpg" with a specified naming convention? Thanks,Veronica
