Hi to everybody,I'm new to CQ and I'm tryng to connect to CRX's CQ from a custom component in LiveCycle.First of all, i made a project in Eclipse in which do all the operation required (retrieve a node, store node, etc..), and testing the methods inside Eclipse it worksMy problem starts when importing and executing the custom component inside LiveCycle, because cannot connect to CRX (while testing it in Eclipse, calling the same method, everything works)The error:javax.jcr.RepositoryException: Unable to access a repository with the following settings:    org.apache.jackrabbit.repository.uri: http://172.31.0.51:8080/lc/crx/serverThe following RepositoryFactory classes were consulted:Perhaps the repository you are trying to access is not available at the moment.I see other post relative to this error, but these suggests doesn't  have helped me- http://forums.adobe.com/message/5228023- http://forums.adobe.com/message/4734716For who wants, it's possible to download the project (.zip) from

Hi All, Does anybody know of a way to cache pages in the dispatcher based on the contents of the HTTP headers?  Or is there a way to selectively disallow the caching of a page, or not to use the cache? Thanks,Bill

My requirement is, user will enter userid and this userid will be validated by 3rd party system using REST call from CQ. Now once user is validated in 3rd party system then user should be able to login to CQ. Users will never be stored in CQ. So, for implementation purpose I am thinking about custom login module or custom authentication handler but I am confused whether I need to implement custom login module or custom authentication handler. Kindly advice.  Best regards,Sam

I am currently using CQ5.5 SP2 and having trouble to create a multifield component where one of the field allow user to drag & drop image from content finder to a smartImage.  Below is my source code to init my multifield xtype.  The last field is the field where I create the smartImage, but on the moment, only the label can be displayed in the dialog.  Please help!initComponent: function() {        Ejst.CustomWidget.superclass.initComponent.call(this);        this.hiddenField = new CQ.Ext.form.Hidden({            name: this.name        });        this.add(this.hiddenField);        this.allowField = new CQ.Ext.form.TextField({            cls:"ejst-customwidget-1",            fieldLabel: "Title",            listeners: {                change:  {                    scope:this,                    fn:this.updateHidden                  }            }        });        this.add(this.allowField);                //this.richtext = new CQ.form.RichText({        //this.richtext = new CQ.Ext.f

We have a requirement to allow our users to customize on demand the dictionary that the rte spellcheck plugin uses. We've already set up an administration page so that they can easily insert and remove words from the dictionary. This works well except that the changes only apply after the server is restarted. Is there any way we can hook into the process that loads the dictionary to trigger a reload without restarting the server? Thanks

I'm trying to implement an EventListener to propagate some JCR changes (property changed, node added ...).This topic has been discussed in a number of posts but different implementations are available and I'm inclined to describe the nitty gritty details on the required annotation as a very well kept secret.SlingRepository is annotated without specific properties in following document:http://experiencedelivers.adobe.com/cemblog/en/experiencedelivers/2012/04/event_handling_incq.htmland Component annotation has been set the following way:@Component public class JCRListener implements EventListener{ }With this flavor, I'm able to install my bundle from the Adobe CQ Web Console but my Active and Deactive methods are not triggered/invoked.SlingRepository is annotated with specific properties (policy = ReferencePolicy.STATIC, cardinality = ReferenceCardinality.MANDATORY_UNARY) in following document:https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topicsearchin/day-communique/postEvent%7Csort:date%7Cspell:t

Hello,I do not see get the tabs for Content Loader and Content Zipper when I access the crx/explorer on my author instance. Please advise if I need to enable some setting before starting to be able to access them. Thanks.Regards,Mayank

Apologies if this is a double post but my original question seems to of vanished:I noticed today that its possible to create a bundle in CRXDE lite and edit java files it on the author/publisher. We have existing bundles that we deploy to the server via package manager as jars which we edit in eclipse then build via maven. This means if we need to make code changes in anything other than the jsp's we have to do a full code deploy which requires change requests and lots of process! So I was wondering is it possible to somehow import the bundles we already have running on the author into CRXDE Lite? Alternatively how can we convert the jars we upload so that we can edit them in CRXDE Lite? We would want to continue using Eclipse for development but then any quick changes could be done in CRXDE Lite on the author/publisher.

Hi ,I am facing a small issue with the ddpathfield xtype (https://github.com/Adobe-Consulting-Services/acs-aem-commons/commit/a1d2050ab766f0456c9988329a8e4f98bf262d0) right now .It works properly if I normally drag a file inside the field  , but if I remove the file again and then again dragging another file to that same section , it is not allowing me to do so . Below are the steps  with which you can relate my issue.1. Use a DDpath xtype inside a dialog , 2 Create a new pathfield and Drag any random  file inside the  field and then save the dialog. The file is saved .3. Open the dialog again and delete the field just created in last step , without clicking on save , add a pathfield again and try to drag a file  , (It does not allow me to do so ).4.If after removing the pathfield I save and then reopen dialog and add the pathfield , I am able to drag the file inside that . Hope I was able to explain my problem , Can anyone help me with the issue I am facing . Thanks,Varun

Is there a way to retrieve the most visited pages (within the website) by the end-user?

I am currently working on a project where i will need to implement custom multifield component. I am really specific about the fact that i need to create nodes (which can be any number) when user specifies a value instead of key, value property.I have currently added a pathField and a textbox.. which will be loaded using HTTP GET and when the user tries to input a value i would HTTP post from my custom extjs. As shown in the attachment  i would prefer the LHS to store entered values in nodes instead of RHS. I have created the component of the following structureThe  http calls will be made  and will not insert to jcr:content or any other path i've decided to remove the node reference "./multishort" below?Request you to please help in this regard.Note:the Above details are in the attachment with the screen shot.

Could someone guide me on how to clean archive workflows.I see like 10,000 under Archive tab in the workflows(/libs/cq/workflow/content/console.html)...Please let me know..

HiWe have an IBM WCM website and we want to migrate that to AEM. What would be the possible approach for that rather than creating the whole website again on AEM?Thanks

We are running AEM 5.6.1 with stand alone JAR file and want to know how to allow certain IP addresses to connect to author instance. Can some one provide a solution for this.Problem: You want only certain IP address to access your author instanceUse case: You have a dispatcher in front of author instance and you want everyone to access author through dispatcher.

I'm experimenting with configuration for an OSGi bundle, and getting some results I don't understand. In CQ 5.4 I created a sling:OsgiConfig node at /apps/client/project/config/package.className with a property of "currentEnvironment". If I view this in the Felix UI, I see my value correctly. But if I edit it in the Felix UI, I don't know where the change is persisted to. The config node still has the same value. I tried stopping and starting the service, and my changes continue to be in effect, but I can't find where it's stored, which leaves me uncertain how it's persisted, or what might cause my changes to be lost. Where is it?In AEM 5.6.1, I did a similar thing, but when I edit the value in Felix UI, the sling:OsgiConfig node has been deleted and replaced by a nt:file node, with the data stored in text. Is this expected behavior, and is there a way to keep the sling:OsgiConfig node?

Hi,When I view the HTML source of a site on a published instance, I see markup like this:<div class="parsys iparsys parsys-header"> <div class="header parbase section"> ...Is this the norm? Or should these parsys, iparsys, parbase, etc. tags only be present in edit mode? Thanks in advance.

By default, if we upload a GIF file to DAM, an DAM Update Asset workflow automatically.  If I have created a folder /content/dam/test, is it possible to exclude the path /content/dam/test from running DAM Update Asset when I update a digital asset to that folder? Do I add exclude list in workflow launcher? Note that I am currently using CQ5.5 SP2.1Thanks

Hi All,Had gone through an excellent presentation on CQ (CQ maven methods, youtube). Here in my company, we are trying to build a new vertical “CQ” in the right track. We are planning to build the cq platform using the “cqblueprints” archetype (After some research, and based on the presentation). We are looking for some expert opinion as currently we don’t have much experience in this area. Please find some of our basic doubts and please help us1.       Is it a right decision to go ahead with “cqblueprints”?2.       In the initial structure created by the archetype, how can we define multiple services (OSGi bundles) to bring in a logic al separation between components. For point one, got a go-ahead but still lacks clarity in the point 2. Please advise. Thanks and regards,Santhosh

Hi,I am facing an issue with setting time on page properties on CQ 5.6.1. The time being set into the JCR is getting converted to the timezone that is set in author’s machine. For example: time being set when author is in India is saved as +5:30 while in NY it is being set with -4:00 offset. Is there any way this can be fixed ?Thanks !Ankit

Hi,Right now CRXDE is always rendered with a blue color scheme. Sometimes this could lead someone working in an author instance while thinking he is on the publish instance, especially when the URL is auto completed in the browser's address bar.It would be good if the current run modes were displayed next to the CRXDE logo:And/or the color scheme of CRXDE was different for an instance that runs in author run mode vs an instance that runs in the publish run mode, etc.Thanks.

Hi,We are not able to successfully integrate CQ with LDAP. Based on the existing LDAP integration documentation, we are unable to get CQ to start when the following updates were done-updated repository.xml, per the steps outlined in the documentation-updated quickstart.bat to include the ldap config file-included the ldap config fileThe error logs have this error :31.03.2014 09:57:20.560 *ERROR* [FelixStartLevel] com.day.crx.sling.server [com.day.crx.sling.server.impl.jmx.ManagedRepository] The activate method has thrown an exception (javax.jcr.RepositoryException: Neither JAAS nor RepositoryConfig contained a valid configuration for com.day.crx) javax.jcr.RepositoryException: Neither JAAS nor RepositoryConfig contained a valid configuration for com.day.crxBased on what we found, one of the reason for this could be the ldap_login.conf couldn't be found. Hi,For our project we want to restrict editing of some components like Header and Footer only to the home (root) page of a Web site.In other words, in the Touch UI, these components can be edited only if the page that is currently being edited is the home page of the current web site. Also it should not be possible to edit and override Header and Footer in child pages. Is there a way to create/configure suchlike components in CQ 5.6 out of the box? Thanks in advance.
