Does it ever make sense to record "pageviews" as an event? I'm looking over an implementation where this is the case.

Requirement: If user access the web page from desktop, propX value is Desktop. If user access the same web page from mobile, propX value is mobile As per my knowledge,We can implemen by using User-Agent string.Any better solution? This e-mail and any files transmitted with it are for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information. Hi,My company is trying to see if transitioning to DTM will be a good option for us. We have decided to go with the library download hosting option and I have a question regarding it. From the DTM help page I see that "JavaScript libraries: Produced by the Management Application and transported to hosting servers." Does this mean that we can not upload some common libraries directly and then reference them in the Javascript/3rd party tags section with an includes reference?I'd really appreciate any input that anyone may be able to give me in this matter. Thanks for your time,Mike

HiIve just downloaded the analytics app for my iphone and dashboards dont seem to be loading any advise ?Regards

I was locked out of my site catalyst account due to a supposedly wrong password.   Adobe let me reset the password, but it still locks me out of the account due to too many failed attempts. How do I regain access? Thanks, newmamh at Abbott Labs

Hi!I created some new rules in the last 2 weeks and - even if they are correct - they are not correctly splitting the fields. It's happening the same with some rules I created some months ago. They used to work and with new values they are not working any more.Anyone with the same issue? Thanks! giulia

Hello,New to Site Catalyst, Im inheriting tracking code set up by previous developers and trying to fix some issues.on our Checkout Confirmation page, we have the following code set to retrieve and send variabless.pageName = "Checkout:Order Confirmation"; s.pageType = ""; s.channel = "Checkout:Confirmation"; s.prop1 = "Checkout:Shopping Cart"; s.prop2 = "Checkout:Confirmation"; s.prop3 = ""; s.prop4 = ""; s.prop5 = ""; /* Conversion Variables */ s.state = "@Model.PrimaryContractShippingState"; s.zip = "@Model.PrimaryContractShippingZip"; s.events = "purchase"; s.products = "@Model.ProductStringForTracking"; s.purchaseID = "@Model.UserId"; s.eVar1 = ""; s.eVar2 = ""; s.eVar3 = ""; s.eVar4 = ""; s.eVar5 = ""; s.evar6 = ""; s.evar7 = ""; s.evar10 = "Approved"; s.eVar12 = "@Model.PriorityCode"; s.evar17 = "@Model.Id"; s.eVar21 = "@Model.JoinCode";when i inspect the code, I am seeing values for all variables.  However, when I check Chrome Developer's Headers being sent, I am not seeing that

Just downloaded RB 5.0 and right away there was an issue - too slow to pull the data and it gives an error box: system error. Does everyone else have this issue?Thx.

Hello,I am having issues trying to automate the classification of Saint keys.I have created rule sets using the Rule Builder tool, and as you can see from the attachment, this particular rule works as it should when I test it. The particular keys I am testing are ones that recently came in unclassified from the latest file I exported. For any new keys coming in, I notice after exporting the respective data set that these keys are unclassified. I am trying to understand why rule builder is not automatically classifying any data coming in as I am wasting hours having to manually update fields in the export. Thanks,John

I am looking to find out the number (percent) of people who click on each section of a page for a given time period. For example, on our homepage I'd like to know how many people clicked on the promo, video, brands, product lines, brands, etc.

Did anyone's classifications get deleted in AdHoc after the May 23 upgrade? I raised a ticket on Friday with Client Care, and I was told that this was a known issue. Im just wondering on how pervasive this issue really is.

The new sliding menu is TERRIBLE!  Now for getting to some reports I have to click through four or five menus instead of just mousing over and accessing it directly! Is there any way of just using the old menu UI??Tim.

Our revenue numbers in Site Catalyst don't match the numbers being reported from the site itself.  I'm trying to determine why but having trouble drilling down far enough into the data.  Is there a way that I can view each purchase event to determine which are missing?  So far the most granular I've been able to view is per hour.  The first few hours of the day are spot on but by the middle of the day are off by thousands of dollars. Thanks

Hi,I would like to create a page and/or section flow where the point of origin is actually a referrer to understand top entry points based on referrers and then simultaneously see pathing beyond that rather than having to do separate segmented pathing reports based on entry page reports I have. Is this at all possible? (Does it even make sense?)Thank you!

Dear Friends,I wanted to know and learn about channel reports. How do they work and how do we measure? For example we are looking at all the visits, revenue, conversion and orders for both the Channels, who came through Bing.  Thats Last Touch and Cross Participation. Will the visits for Cross participation be higher? What will the metrics look like? What will be the difference in reports. What will be accurate report? Please help!! Thank you,

We have some issues with our DWH and ARB scheduled reports

In what situation would you want to remove a user from "Current Data Users" group?

Hi, we're using SiteCatalyst H26.2 and we are currently calling tracking script on a page which uses other js to populate other parts of the page. We are getting intermittent issues that if the page hasn't loaded before the omniture script runs, the page is blank. The source shows html but the page is empty. This has happened on another page in our site with similiar functional. We get a workaround but setting an interval but wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there is a way for the omniture script to not cause a white screen? Thanks in advance

Editing Adobe Analytics (formerly SiteCatalyst) dashboards has become more difficult since the latest release. When viewing the dashboard in layout/edit mode the only option for scrolling is my mouse. The scroll bar has disappeared. I used this a lot! please restore.Deets; using FireFox 29.0.1

I built new prop variables to know effect of links on internal site.So if visitor move following case, how many participation number each variables could get?visitorA: pageA > pageB(prop1="c1_link1") > pageC(prop1="c1_link2") > pageA > pageD(event1)visitorB: pageB(prop1="c1_link1") > pageA > pageD(event1)I think SiteCatalyst would count like this.prop1 report:c1_link1    event1:participation = 2c1_link2    event1:participation = 1Because SiteCatalyst regards both variables contribute to event1.If my recognition is wrong, please let me know.

Am I able to copy IP exclusions to other report suites, or can I set them at the account level without using a VISTA rule or Firewall?

Dear community,In our company we've designed a website were we are going to use infinite scroll on section pages but also on article pages. When the article page is loaded it will load the first 3 articles. The visitor can now scroll through these articles and read them. When the visitor gets at the second half of the 3rd article the next 3 articles are automatically loaded in the background. This way the visitor can read articles without having to click. The problem now is what the best way would be to measure this in Adobe Analytics (Omniture SC15). Our business want to know which article is loaded and hopefully read. The website is still in development but there is a website called www.qz.com who works the same as what we want to do.I hope you can help.Kind regardsTimm

While the new permissions settings are great, it looks like there could be a glitch. We have users that have ReportBuilder licenses and I have granted access to the appropriate report suites, they can get logged in but when opening an existing ARB report, the get the error to refresh the queries and get the CSV of permission errors, which was done. In reviewing the errors it is reporting them on the report suite that they have access to, so why would they get this error? I second the comment posted by another individual, in which the new functionality is needed, but if it isn't going to work do NOT get rid of 4.7 and we are switching back.
