Workfront

Hello! Our team is new to Workfront and I'd like to connect with anyone that uses Workfront for creative work and involves client feedback in the process. I desperately need feedback on our templates/processes and how we use the proofs. I'll buy you a coffee!! Thank you!!!!

I have a custom view that I work from and I need it to show me one more thing (which I am so close!) but I need help. I am new to this, so really playing around with the API explorer and building in text mode.  I found this code in reference collections and it did get me closer to what I was envisioning... but not exactly. I specifically want to include a column that shows the designer (job role) assigned to that project. The following code shows all the tasks with all the assignees, which is great, but not what I need. I’m currently experiencing an issue in Workfront where I can see incoming requests, but the associated documents are not appearing on my end. I’ve confirmed with the requesters that the documents have been uploaded successfully.I’ve already tried updating my browser and clearing my cache, but unfortunately, that hasn’t resolved the issue.

I have several reports in the system pulling Issues with a column for resolving object. The resolving object column is appearing blank even though in the Workfront report there is a link to the Project name.Does anyone know how to get around this? 

Hi - I’m working on a Projects status report for our teams to share and walk through with Senior Leadership as a replacement for an existing Excel file. When a parent task has children that are cancelled the system shows the status of the Parent task as Complete. I can't find a way to change this. We are trying to build a way to show that a Parent task (which represents a job) was cancelled. We need a way to report on parent tasks that were cancelled and parent tasks that were actually completed because the work is done. Is there a way to set up workfront so that if all children tasks are cancelled the parent task would also show cancelled?  

Hi all,I feel a bit silly asking this as I've been working with forms for a while, but I can't seem to remove custom forms from either individual projects or project templates. I've tried removing them from both the Edit Project/Edit Template interface and the Project Details page, and while I have the 'x' next to the form name, nothing happens when trying to remove it. Note: these are projects/templates that I created and own, and they only have one form attached. Am I doing something wrong, or is it time to enter a support ticket?Thanks! -Laura

Hi! In the last week or so we've been having users get the following error when trying to duplicate requests: You must be a system admin to change this custom data parameter value. We've been having users duplicate requests for several months now and are just now running into this issue. I'm guessing it's a permission error, but doing a quick scan in the system setup I can't find anything that would make this change. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as a lot of our system is dependent on user's being able to duplicate requests.

We do not use General time but it shows up automatically when creating a new timesheet. How do I remove those entrees?

Hello,  This community post and Workfront documentation mention an option to Lock a Proof when all Decisions are made, however I don't see this option in our Proof Settings or Automated Workflow templates. I only see the option to lock at each stage. Is there somewhere else I should be looking? 

How can you access Proof ID in the document report to add it into prompts

I've seen this discussion: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-questions/project-finances-allocation-dat... but it doesn't quite tell me how those dates are determined.   We have a Project (Financial Data) report where the planned completion date of the project is in March 2026, but the report is showing allocation dates stretching out through August 2026.

Hello Community Team,I have a calendar (I´m the owner) shared with different teams in my organization. However, there are some team events that are private and those should not be visible for the rest of the teams. Is there any way to hide those in the Calendar and make them visible only for the owner and specify people?

So I think I know the answer to this one but thought in case it had appeared on a development roadmap since I last explored it, it was worth asking. I'm building a "basic board" in Workfront where I don't have a need to link the cards to issues or tasks at present, its just helpful to have cards, task lists, comments and statuses against tickets. Am I right in thinking that, because cards are not standard elements of the Workfront structure of tasks, issues, projects, etc, it's not currently possible to produce any reporting based on unlinked cards? Thanks!

What is the best way to account for department and corporate events in project timelines?  I am tempted to have everyone in the department enter "time off" for the two day department events that occur one time per quarter but wanted to check to see if anyone has a better idea.  It know it will work, but don't want to pass up an option I am not aware of.

I'm trying to create an issue report to show the average time between entry date and actual completion date per month. I cannot get any issue duration field to aggregate to show an average in the grouping. I've tried text mode to calculate the date difference, and I've also tried creating a calculated field. Neither is working for me. Is this even possible? If not, does anyone have a good way to show this type of data in Workfront?Thanks!
