Workfront Fusion

Hello Fusion experts, as far as I know there are two native ways to convert an issue / request (OPTASK) to a task or project in Fusion. Convert Object moduleThis one does not provide very much configuration possibilities. Misc Action module The one we are using a lot.  Using the Misc Action module lets us define almost any field of the resulting object. Unfortunately due to the Workfront API, a lot of settings will be ignored. One example:  We use a request queue, which is "monitored" by a specific team. As soon as a new request arrives, they do check it and change the request status to a custom status (like Request approved).This status change triggers a Fusion scenario, which automatically converts the task to a request. Unfortunately in the resulting task under Details -> Task stakeholders -> Requested by the name of the user, which is assigned to the Connector between Fusion an Workfront is shown. This is our general admin account.

We are looking for information or options on a timeline visualization solution that will work with our Workfront implementation. Currently we actively use the "timeline" feature in MS Project, which allows autonomy in selecting specific milestones and tasks that we can place on a timeline graphic. This has been a crucial communication tool for us in keeping project stakeholders apprised of project progress. Based on our research, Workfront's current Gantt and Milestone timeline feature doesn't quite meet our needs to this extent. We're obliged to look for options, perhaps as an export to, or integration with, an external solution that will give us something close to what we're looking for. We are in the process of migration our project schedules and task management fully into Workfront.

We are evaluating Workfront for G Suite for our Workfront implementation and would really appreciate input / feedback from other organizations / users who have worked with it recently and can offer their comments on whether it works as advertised.

It was supposed to be so easy. And I'm sure it's possible to do this. The particulars are what's irritating. My hope is that I post this and then figure it out tomorrow morning while on my jog. 😄 Here's the ask:A group wants to read a multi-select field on an issue. From that, Fusion would read the choices and map them to another multi-select field.If choice is A, B, or C on first field, it choses 1 on the second.If choice is D on first, field, 2 on the secondIf choice is E or F on first, 3 on the secondConsidering it's multi-select, if the choices were A and E on the first field, Fusion would chose 1 and 3 on the second field. I know we're dealing with an array because we're dealing with a multiselect, so I try iterating out all the choices. Then, I set a variable using an IF statement......And I don't know how to aggregate those choices by Issue so I can set the choices on the second field.I'm almost certain that we have an example of something similar in one of our

How to get Workfront login details in Audit logs details by Custom API module in Workfront fusion?

I need to add a number from a bundle until it gets to a certain point then stop. Say I have 4 bundles with 1,2,4,8 and I need to make the number equal to 7. How would I add each bundle one by one and move on to the next step when the combined value equals 7, aka only the first 3 bundles pass through while the last gets discarded 1st bundle1 !>= 72nd bundle1+2 !>= 73rd bundle1+2+4 >= 7Since equal or greater stop accepting bundles and move to next step Here is a coding exampleOutput:

I am creating a new Billing Record for certain projects via Fusion, how do I update the hours collection of the record either on creation or through an update module?

I am trying to connect to Dropbox and after creating the App in Dropbox's App Console and launching the connection in Fusion the Dropbox module stays in "Waiting for authorization" mode. I am able to connect to the Dropbox account in the popup window but it never completes the the connection to Fusion. 

I'm trying to build a scenario that is triggered when a certain milestone task is ready to start.  In the Events Filters section of the Watch Events module, I can specify the milestoneID of the task, but canStart is not an available option.  Any suggestions for how to create a trigger?Thanks. 

We recently adopted this best practice and I thought I would share with the community. Sometimes, a problem surfaces with a Workfront record in which its clear that Fusion did not create or update the record in the expected way. When this happens, it can be time consuming or impossible to track down the specific execution so you can inspect the module inputs/outputs.With that in mind, we started recording the scenario ID and execution ID to Workfront records as part of the create or update Workfront record modules in every scenario. Having these IDs as part of the Workfront record itself enables you to create Workfront reports that can:1. Open the actual execution that created a record.2. Open the actual execution that last updated a record (which may be different than the scenario that created it).3. Count, filter, and group records that are created or updated by Fusion, by each scenario.This enables you to answer questions like:"This record doesn't look right. What did Fusion do

I've been struggling to authorize a connection to the Microsoft PowerBI connector since April.  Our IT team has indicated they have done everything on their side to extend the rights, access, permission etc. In reaching out to Fusion support, they were helpful in offering some documentation as to what it might be but indicated it is the extent of their support.  I'm not sure where the miss is - MS SharePoint and MS Outlook connectors work fine.  Does anyone have any suggestions on ideas it might be? Hello, I have a use case where a Project has a task and that task has a custom form attached in it. Let say a user filled the custom form fields in that task. I want to establish a scenario where when custom form information is filled on that task, it will trigger an event which will fetch the filled custom form data information from that task. I've tried to establish the event trigger but the options are limited,  Is it possible to do in Fusion, what steps I should follow?  Thanks,Subham

I know that Microsoft Teams has a WF application and it also has a webhook feature that allows you to send messages to channels. Has anybody worked with Teams via Fusion and found a way to send individual users messages through Fusion?

I am trying to add a custom form to projects that meet certain criteria. (Use case: I have some "admin" fields I don't want on an intake form. I want to add them later after the project is established.) I have gotten to the stage where I can update the Category ID field, but I can't figure out how to ADD a new form. I can overwrite the ID and put the form there. But that takes the existing intake form (and other forms) off the project. I have tried to set a variable, use a comma, use a green plus, use a NewLine, use a Space ... I am worried that the Category ID is actually a collection ID of some sort and I can't just add a form to it. Here's the error. The top code is the existing category ID and the bottom one is the code I am trying to add.

Hello,I am trying to create a template document that I will use to compile information about tasks and their subtasks from Workfront. The resulting document needs to be organized and easy to read for the end client. Currently I am trying to use the "Microsoft Word Template" aggregator to loop through my task information. The issue I have discovered is that module does not allow nested looping. For example, if my doc needs to include information on the tasks/subtasks:- Mice     -> Rufus     -> Mickey     -> Bernard- Cats     -> Thomas O'Malley     -> Sergeant Tibbs     -> Simba-Dogs     -> Goofy     -> Pongo     -> CopperI can either use looping to capture the parent tasks of Mice/Cats or it can capture the subtasks, but if I want to get the subtasks for each parent task, there isn't a way to do this solely using the word modul

Hello - I was testing timesheet creation using Fusion. It creates the timesheet and sets the start/end date correctly, but it didn't assign the approver, it was empty. What is the right way to assign an approver?

I've been trying to build an automated approval workflow in Fusion by following the "Automating Workfront Request Approval Workflows" chapter within the Adobe Workfront Fusion Cookbook but have stumbled upon an error which I can't get beyond. I'm pretty new to Fusion so I may be making a rookie error. I've followed the instructions as best as I can and have build the workflow as closely to the example as possible. When I get to the Custom API Call (POST: Create Approval Process), I'm getting the following error: The operation failed with an error. How can I use Fusion to create issues every time a new document is uploaded in a specific campaign?  I do not want the same document to go through the scenario more than once, only new documents uploaded to same campaign. Any suggestions on the best way to do this would be greatly appreciated. 

I'm tasked with creating a scenario to update the planned completion time of certain tasks to 6:00. I have figured this out already but have encountered some strange issues solely when creating from a template. It seems that the scenario runs too fast before the creation of the project and all its tasks can be created via the template and does not update the completion time of the tasks that I want because it is using the project defaults. I have fixed this using a 1 second sleep module but I was wondering if there was a better way to solve this issue without using extra operations? Thanks,Lawson

Hello, is there a way to create a report of every issue that goes through my scenario? I would like to keep track of the issues that go through my scenario, any suggestions on how to do this. 

My team are building some Scenarios based on requirement coming from Client. The Workfront Module has its actions such has Create Record, Update records but some time they are not sufficient as they have limited capabilities. I recently got to know about to the Custom API Module which can help to get other related information, is there any documentation for that Actions? I have found about  API explorer document but don't know how to understand them and use them.

I have given a user access to Fusion in the Adobe Admin panel. They did not receive a email and are not able to access via Workfront. Any thoughts on how they get to the tool? ThanksBill
