Workfront Fusion

When a project owner changes, i need to tag the new owner in a comment, letting them know a new project was assigned to them and include the project name and description in the comment.

Quick question: Can a Fusion scenario be triggered if a document is moved from one folder to another? I'm assuming the answer is "no." I've tried a few different ways to get a Scenario to trigger when a document's folder changes...none have worked. Right now, I'm trying to get around this by utilizing a timed scenario which checks for dox with specific parameters. The Scenario runs every five minutes. If it finds a document which falls within those filters, it adds the document GUID to a data store. The scenario whenever a new document is uploaded adds the new document's GUID to the data store, and reads the other GUIDs as well. It then processes all the dox mentioned on the data store, wiping them all post-execution.TBH, that feels like an advanced game of Mouse Trap and would love to be shown a different way. Am I correct in thinking that the change doesn't register because folders are related collection to dox and not actual fields or parameterValues? -j (writing

I need to assign request Owner ID based upon the contents of an SFDC field - VMA.  There are eight possible names in the VMA field and each needs a unique Owner ID value assigned.  I'm looking for suggestions on the the best approach to test each possible name, assign a unique Owner ID when true and my Owner ID when none are true The logic is: When VMA = Annie then Owner ID = Annie#. When VMA=Tracey then Owner ID=Tracey#. When VMA=Drew then Owner ID=Drew#, ELSE Owner ID=SysAdmin# Recommendations?

 Hi Fusion Community, Does anyone know of a quick way to export Output Bundles from a modules execution?  Instead of me having to click on each individual operation within a module after an execution, and then downloading each operations output separately - this will take forever when you have hundreds or thousands of operations for a given module - I'm wondering if there's a quicker way to export this data? Thanks!Nick

Hello, Is there a way to remove duplicates coming from Parse CSV?CSV file is coming from another system, so we do not have access to it before it's been received by Fusion. We need to make sure that we have only 1 line per employee, and exclude any duplicates, if they happen to be there before the scenario processes it further.Are there any examples how to implement this? Could you please advise?Thank you!

Hi, I have a Watch Record, and it is not finding an update to a custom field change.  I made sure that I checked the "Track field changes in update feeds".Any ideas?

We would like to close out a task when proof approvals are received.  I took a look at the Fusion template for this, but there are no considerations for someone making a comment (potentially needing a revision instead of approval) but making the decision of approval.  I can read the comments through Fusion, but they are not version specific.  Is there a way to set up a filter so that Fusion will only automate closing the task if there are no comments.  If there are comments we would want a manual review and task closure.

Hi Everyone!We are running into an issue when trying to parse data that comes from an HTTP GET request. As you can see in the first picture below we are parsing the "data" header that was retrieved from the HTTP request. Then we take that parsed JSON data and iterate the "rows" of the JSON to get all of the values returned to us in a way that can be used later on in the scenario. But for some reason the iterator only returns one of array indexes.Any help on getting all of the array indexes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello, does anybody have experiences with the module Convert object?  I have a scenario, which should do the following: - After an issue containing a custom form was created, Fusion is watching for status changes of this issue- as soon as a specific status is set on the issue it should be converted to a project and the custom form is attached to the new project  Unfortunately the new project's custom form does not contain any data.If I do exactly the same manually directly in Workfront using "Convert to project", the custom form is attached and all values are filled in. Can anybody perhaps help me with this? Thanks in advance.  RegardsLars

Hi everyone, There is a project with several tasks. When specific task is complete it sends email notification to the person Assigned to another task. Is possible to implement the following:Can the person who receives the email mark their task as Complete within the email itself and not have to go into the Workfront project to mark it as Complete. Is it possible? If so, how to implement this? Could you please advise?

I have an issue report and am trying to calculate a percentage for the total.. in this case 198,464 / 1111266 (these numbers are pulling as an $ value aggregation in a grouping.. I want to do the same thing with a percentage. I just want the actual calculation which in this case is 198,464/1,111,266 Anyone have any ideas?? Can anyone provide a screen shot or example on how to do a 'Not In' or 'In' search operator?I'm getting errors when testing this (or it just doesn't work).  The API Basics page doesn't discuss this.Thanks in advance!

Seeking best-practice recommendations, considering the Principle of Least Privilege, for Fusion developer access in Workfront. Is the built-in Planner access level enough for a Fusion developer to effectively design a Fusion automation, including testing in lower environments? Or do Fusion developers require System Admin access to all Workfront environments? Any insights, pros, cons, etc.would be greatly appreciated.  

What is the benefit of connecting Fusion to MS apps (sharepoint, onedrive) using a Microsoft Account versus a Client ID & Secret? I believe the MS User Account could be used across all apps while the Client ID & Secret route would need to be setup for each app. Is that correct?

We have an automation that logs to a specific field in Workfront. There are a number of paths in the scenario and a number of modules that link to this field. I'm looking into upgrading to a rich-text field instead (allowing more characters) and so I'll need to update all those modules to the new field. Is there a way to easily find all the modules that utilize it, or do I need to go through module by module?Thank you!

Hi Fusion community, I have an exported time off file from our HR system, and I want to import these as new Time Off records in Workfront.I'm just doing some basic testing right now, with userID, startDate, and endDate, but I'm running into an error.I'm not developer, but like to try things out.  I created a Fusion scenario that downloads a document, then parses that CSV, and then I'm using an API call - POST - to try and create the Time Off records in Workfront. Here's what my API module looks like:  And here's the error I'm getting: Does anyone know where I'm going wrong?Thanks!Nick

Does anyone know how to filter a listener for document versions in Fusion?If I try to get the project information such as document:project:categoryID I get the error:Function 'getWatchQS' finished with error! fields is not iterableSo I'm having to watch ALL document versions in the system which seems bad. Any ideas? Rob

When I've used a router in Workfront Fusion, I often want to converge paths to run some common modules. Does anyone know a way how to do this? or something similar? At the moment, I've put that section in separate scenario and called it via a WebHook. However, it seems like a really common thing to do an I'm surprise you can't make 2 modules merge paths somehow...? Any help appreciated. Rob
