Adobe Experience Manager

I've started exploring the Hobbes automated test framework used in AEM 6.0 and was disappointed to find out that there isn't a lot of documentation on the internet on this. The Adobe docs helped me to get started and I've also spent sometime exploring the tests that are included in the sample content.I was wondering if Adobe has some more detailed documentation on this topic, I am particularly looking for something like an API documentation that sheds light on the different kind of methods that can be used in a test case and ofcourse lots of examples.Any help is appreciated.

I have some Questions about AEM6 with CRX2 :- Is there an installation of AEM6 which comes with CRX2 or do i have to upgrade a CQ5 Version to AEM6 to run AEM6 with CRX2?- Which CRX2 Version should i use to run with AEM6?- How can i transfer content with the commandline (in Linux) like the Package Manager is doing ? Is there a option to do it the same way with the commandline (no restriction about the filesize, in the Package manager there are some restrictions about it) thx a lotjulian

Localhost for AEM 6 stopped populating crx-quickstart\logs\error.log.After I installed the service pack update I no longer get error.log populated if I have an error in my code I need to debug. Regards Clive

Hi,Looks like we have some nodes in CRXDE that do not show in search results. Is there a way to fix this issue without restarting our instance (actually we have a 2-instance cluster).Also, is there a way to run a consistency check without restarting CQ5?Thanks in advance.

There seems to be an issue with the workflow model getting saved. In spite of removing few process & participant steps, when the workflow is initiated, the workflow executes those deleted steps.However after deleting the process & participant steps, the package containing this model was taken as a backup & then the existing model was deleted from CRXDE. Then the backup package was installed. Hence a new version for the model was created. But still on triggering of this workflow, the deleted steps are executed. This issue is found in the AEM6.1 version.In general, are these workflow models cached? If yes, where exactly this happens?

Is that going to be a problem? What should I do?

The "UberJar" is the informal name given to a special Java Archive (JAR) file provided by Adobe. This JAR file contains all of the public Java APIs exposed by Adobe Experience Manager. There is a thread related to this discussion. But I don't think the question has been satisfactorily answered even though it's closed now. So I thought it'd be a good idea to open the discussion again.ReplicationActionType.DELETEI encountered the similar issue that ReplicationActionType.DELETE doesn't actually delete anything from author even though I was pretty sure that I used administrator user to delete the node and there wasn't error in the server log. So I wanted to know whether ReplicationActionType.DELETE was designed to delete a CQ node from author and publish (if the replication is setup properly).  BTW, I use AEM 6.For the time being, if anyone seeing the same issue, there is a workaround to resolve the problem by using node.remove().Thanks,Zeyin

Hi All,I know that this has been discussed in 2012 via the post - Issue with unbinding of configurations from old jars but even then there was no definite solution to this issue. I am facing the same issue now where my config does not pick up the latest snapshot unless I unbind and save. If someone has an answer, please do help. Regards,Mani

You need to have: org.apache.sling.models.api.1-1.0.jar installed in the OSGI console, system/console/bundles. Before doing extensive troubleshooting, be sure this bundle is installed. This error may occur when you run AEM 6.0 with Java 8. Java version 8, is not supported with AEM 6.0 until you install the service pack. If you are having that problem, install the service pack. You can follow these steps:  Download the most recent Service Pack (SP2) from package share or from our dropbox folder:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/h1dwxyxcvsw4dag/ServicePack2.zip?dl=0Once downloaded, go to the folder where you installed AEM initially, and delete all the contents in the crx-quickstart folder (you will be running a fresh install) so you will now have an empty crx-quickstart folder.In the crx-quickstart folder, create a new folder called install and copy the service pack  that you downloaded to that folder.The structure should now be: crx-quickstart > install > ServicePack2.zipStart AEM by double clicking the AEM quickstart jar, and when it starts, it will find the install folder and also install the Service Pack.

I am working on custom form action.So far I am able to achieve the following points.1. Added Custom Form Action.2. Overlap Forward.jsp page.3. From Forward.jsp able to successfully route to Custom SlingServlet.4. In Custom Sling Servlet I have the following requirement.     a. Get all request parameters     b. Send the request to third part application by using HttpClient     c. On response equals to 200 rout the servlet to Thank you page.Right now I have 2 issues.1. In HttpClient I am able to pass the request data if I hard code the value , but if I try to submit it by dynamically populated to NameValuePare Array even though values are there it is not getting processed.2.
