For example, if there is an asset description field in the form for asset upload, would there be a way to combine and show all entered asset descriptions easily?

I am using fileupload , pathfield resource types ( see below) wherever I need an image authoring. Hi  I have a site 'XXX' I want to get a report of how many external videos are there for xxx.com site   For suppose I have created a page( /content/xxx/en-in/test-page) on this page I added an external video(youtube)     I used this query to get the listpath:/content/xxxtype:dam:Asset property=metadata.videoSource  property.value=YOUTUBEalso this querypath:/content/<XXX>//element(*, cq:Component)[@videosource-YOUTUBE]orderby=path I am not getting any result can anyone help me to fix this

I am unable to save a custom metadata property added to an asset in my local dev instance. I am logged in as "admin", and "admin" has Create, Modify, and Delete permissions on the /conf folder.    

Hi I wanted to extend navigation core component. I have created a proxy component without any html and just  slingResourceSuperType = "core/wcm/components/navigation/v1/navigation" I have my custom model class where I am trying to build my custom navigation items. but unfortunately when I call this proxy component inside a HTL using below command doesn't invoke my custom model class. <sly data-sly-resource="${resource @ resourceType='path/to/custom/proxy/navigation'}"> How can I reuse core component html with my custom model class?

I have used the metadata export function in my DAM (AEM 6.4). Are there fields within an export which allow me to determine which asset paths are public (as opposed to a private or unpublished asset)? I'm able to do this within the AEM UI but it would be more scalable to do so within the spreadsheet exported.  Thank you. 

I am working on a servlet that will get a page path as a query parameter. Page path will be sth like /content/a/b/c/08/03 I need to use Generic List to create a map between the ID and its value as we don't want to be dependent on builds to modify the list items. The code snippet is  Page lobGenericList = pageManager.getPage("/etc/acs-commons/lists/lob");         GenericList lobList = lobGenericList.adaptTo(GenericList.class);         assert lobList != null;         List<GenericListItem> lobListItems = lobList.getItems();         String lobValue = lobListItems.lookupTitle(lobId);         logger.info("LOB value mapped to list is {}", lobValue); In the above code, I'm trying to get the lobValue by using GenericListItem class. But I'm getting error "Cannot be resolved to a type".    ACS Commons version -> 5.7.0   What can be the issue?

Is there an OOTB way to enable Push on Modify for AEM Assets[Live Copy] like we have in sites?

Hi AEM Community,   I have the below requirement in our project - We want to have an AEM DAM/Assets instance which acts as the source for all other environments (DEV, Stage, Production) as well as some other portals which use some assets residing in our AEM Instance.   We have come across 2 options for our need - 1. Connected Assets Drawback - This feature supports images only. It will not allow you to sync video assets, content fragments, experience fragments etc   2. Remote Syncing Drawback - Recommended for Non-Production use only as per ACS Documentation. Hi AEM Community,   I have done some findings that AEM only accepts long date format (YYYY-MM-DDT00:00:00.000-05:00) as "Date" Data Type for the node. Is there any configuration that can be done to store Simple Date Format (“YYYY/MM/DD”) as "Date" Data Type? Is there an alternative other than storing the node field as String to store the Simple Date Format? The reason is I am using this Date for the Query Builder API and using it as String won't allow me to query as "daterange" or "relativedaterange" to do the query operations. Any suggestions and best practice to address this issue would really be appreciated.   Best Regards, Anish

I want to clean up unused assets from dam for my project and with the help of managed controlled processes -> /apps/acs-commons/content/manage-controlled-processes.html I can get the list of assets which are not being referenced in the pages. However if an asset is updated in the author and the page is not published then the old asset which is still referenced in the live page doesn't show up in the results under published reference of MCP. Is there a better way to achieve this goal?

I used the OOB functionality to create a custom rendition of 300*300 jpeg image as below with .jpeg extension.     And the rendition is being created for an image as below as expected. The custom rendition is created as 300*300 with jpeg extension. Can someone help me figure out how I can create this rendition with .jpg instead of .jpeg extension?  

I have a custom rendition created for jpeg image in AEM and programmatically I am trying to get that rendition as a stream. I can see this rendition exist in the image node, but when I try to get it as input steam , I get null pointer exception.   final Asset asset = DamUtil.resolveToAsset(resource); InputStream in = asset.getRendition("cq5dam.web.300.300.jpeg").getStream();   Same code works for png rendition. final Asset asset = DamUtil.resolveToAsset(resource); InputStream in = asset.getRendition("cq5dam.thumbnail.319.319.png").getStream();   Anyone know why is the difference and why it is failing for jpeg image?

We are migrating our website from SharePoint to AEM Cloud. We also have some images hosted on SharePoint, that are used for other systems. We would like to recreate the same paths in AEM Assets, so these image will not break. Can I recreate the following path in AEM Assets?    https://www.domainname.com/SiteCollectionImages/Folder/image.jpg?RenditionID=11  The RenditionID parameter is used in SharePoint for rendering the image in a specific size. I know this is not working in AEM, but the link should still work with the parameter. The image will be saved in the dam with the correct size.   Would it work like this, when the image is published? /content/dam/company/SiteCollectionImages/Folder/image.jpg   Thanks for your help!

Hi,  We are trying to use the bulk import service and we want to schedule this every 10 mins. Currently this can be scheduled only to this specific time that is provided OOTB. Is there a way we can some how tweet this configurations? We have also read that this will import around 20K assets/hour. So we would like to import less assets. As per our requirement we need to import the assets not less than 5 mins to AEM.

We are using OOTB Processing Profile for watermarking of AEM Assets, however some of the assets are large and hence the watermark image is not covering the entire width and height. The issue would be resolved if I can add the watermark png position as tiled on the image. How can we Add watermark image as tiled image to another asset?

I had a requirement to create a zip file downloading a set of images from AEM and i used an existing rendition of an image for the same and that works and I am able to download a rendition of an image and create a zip file. I used Asset API for the same.   final Asset asset = DamUtil.resolveToAsset(assetResource);InputStream in = asset.getRendition(DAM_THUMBNAIL).getStream();    Now there is a requirement to create a custom rendition for an image using imageprofile in AEM, that will create a rendition in scene7 server and not in AEM. i Have to include those scene7 rendition images in my zip. Does anyone have any samples on how to call the scene7 API to download a image rendition as inputstream?

Hi all, I am fairly new to AEM and am trying to build a basic Schema form for assets that simplifies the "default" form for my users.   When I click on the checkbox icon in "Map to property" in a field's Settings, the Property Picker shows two complete metadata "folders," one nested inside the other: This doesn't look right to me -- I don't think the second, nested "metadata" folder should be there, since those properties would be written to .jcr:content/metadata/metadata/dc:title (or similar). If the duplicate properties aren't supposed to be there, I'd like to remove them from the Property Picker so that they aren't accidentally included in a schema or search form.   The only documentation I've been able to find is a brief mention in the Tips and limitations section of the Configure metadata functionality doc page, which says, "Property Picker displays properties that are used in schema editors and search forms. Property Picker does not pick metadata properties from an ass
