We are using the Workfront to AEM Assets OOTB automation for publishing assets from Workfront to Assets. We are now setting up our Brand Portal and will need to publish some assets from Assets to Brand Portal.  How are you streamlining the Brand Portal upload process? Are someone manually publishing the asset to Brand Portal after the asset is published to Assets? Do you have any automation in place?  Would love to hear ideas on how to minimize manual effort.

Is it possible to generate dynamic media url for a csv asset inside AEM Assets? If yes, which dynamic media processing profile should be applied?

Smart Crop coordinates rely on the aspect ratio. This means that for the different smart crop configurations within an image profile, if the aspect ratio remains consistent for the additional dimensions in the image profile, the same aspect ratio will be transmitted to Dynamic Media.Consequently, the Smart Crop Editor will recommend the same cropping area. As content admin, you can always go in smart crop profile and update the rendition as per your business need if you are not happy with the auto cropping performed by Adobe Sensei. I have captured the steps below for reference.Step 1: Open the image by double clicking it.  Step 2: Click Smart Crop from action bar in the top. Step 3: Edit the smart crop rendition by adjusting the blue border. Step 4: Save once done with editing. Step 5: Publish the image.

When we upload a pdf to DAM, can we pull all metadata from pdf and update the DAM metadata programatically?

I am looking for some recommendations on configuring Search for AEM Assets. I know that the search rail can be customized to a certain extent. Would it also support having a little more dynamic behavior, such as hiding a panel if a dropdown value is selected? This is for AEM as a Cloud Service.

I have images that I have expired on AEM where the subject has removed permission for us to use their images. When I insert the image using Assets on Adobe Express - I am able to see an "Expired tag" beneath the image, however when I insert the image via Adobe Asset Link on InDesign or Photoshop - no expired tag appears and I am able to use the image as normal.Would this be an error, or is this functionality not available with AEM Asset Link?  If a functionality issue, is this available with other AEM Products? I am currently using AEM Essentials. 

We need to share some 5 video of 2 Gb each.But we got an error with no infomation ... (should be you file is more than 5GB)Anyway there is a way to inrease brand portal capacity to manage bigger files?Thankyou  

Hi all, My organization uses an enhanced connector between Workfront and AEM Assets. We have a use case where DAM users create live copies of items in linked project folders (linked to Workfront). Whenever users create live copies of an entire folder, every file within the folder gets stuck in workflow. Sometimes these folders have over 100 assets, so it can be tedious to end these workflows. The Initiator is workflow-service (msm service) and the Model is Auto Attach Workfront Document Custom Form and Map Metadata. Does anyone know what is causing this issue, and how to prevent this from happening? I've included a screenshot for reference. Thank you!Morgan

We are using AEM clous Assets and trying to add custom Metadata Schema. We are able to add and see schema using AEM Assets Touch UI. But that metadata is not visible when we view Assets(image) in Assets View. I see an option to Add custom Metadata Forms in Assets View but i need to add custom Metadata Property in schema. I don't see any options to add custom schema property in Assets View. How can I add custom metadata property in schema? 

If I drag a new version into AEM and select to save it as a new version then go to the timeline an dlook at the versions the original is labeled and New version 1.1 and the new version is listed as current. An end user will look at that and think that New Version 1.1 is the one they just uploaded. Can the original asset be listed as the orginal and then every new version is called new version 1.1, 1.2, etc. Current could just be an a status icon to the right of the version to show which version is the current one. Am I the only one that thinks this or is this a common complaint?

As part of the AEMaaCS migration from AEM 6.5 AMS, we have plans to migrate only the assets. AMS pages will consume migrated assets using Dynamic Media with OpenAPI.  1. DM with OpenAPI has TTL of 10 minutes to reflect the changes in the delivery URL - is there a way to reduce this turn around time?  2. Assets using DM with OpenAPI delivery URLs should be approved. It means assets are published. There are use cases where the asset should be published along with the pages and not way ahead. how to avoid this?     - Note: if assets are not approved, delivery URL wont be available on AMS sites to author the images. 

I'm able to open up my extension in Adobe Experience Manage Assets, which is running on my local server. I can briefly make changes locally which are reflected in the extension, but after 20 seconds it times out with:Unhandled Rejection (Error): Timed out waiting for initial response from parent after 20000ms(anonymous function)node_modules/@adobe/uix-core/src/tunnel/tunnel.ts:268:When I open up my local application at https://localhost:9080,  I get "IFrame for integration with Host (AEM Assets View)...", then it times out again with the same error. I've tried creating the bootstrapped app multiple times using this guide: https://developer.adobe.com/uix/docs/services/aem-assets-view/extension-development/, but no luck. SSL certificate has been accepted.

Hi all, Some of my previews are not showing up correctly when I'm looking through pdf files in AEM. There are a handful where the icons show either a blank image or an image with a pixelated bar at the top and a white to gray gradient. The files looks normal once I download and open them on my desktop. But when I download the file as a rendition, the files appear just as they do in the preview. Any ideas on what may be causing this or how to resolve it? I need to be able to audit my files in AEM without taking up so much storage on my desktop through downloads.   

Hi,I need to reprocess assets located in different folders, either programmatically or by reading the asset paths from a file and reprocessing them.I tried using the API https://XXXX/api/assets/projects/image-ex.jpg, and although the response was successful, the image did not get reprocessed.Is there a simpler way to reprocess assets in bulk?Thank you.

Hi, I want to enable permissions to create asset reports for a group with of non-admin users. I found this community post on how to do this in AEM 6.4, but I'm running AEM 6.5 and I haven't been able to figure this out in my environment. Can someone provide detailed steps on how to enable report permissions for non-admin users in AEM 6.5? Thank you!

We have a custom metadata schema being applied to all of our assets in AEM and they show as intended there but we are not able to find them under the configuration settings in Content Hub. We can see the OOTB fields but none of our custom ones. We'd like to add them to the asset details, card details, and filters in CH but they don't show up in the drop downs to select.Has anyone else run into this issue and resolved it? If so, I'd love to hear what your solution was.Thanks

Did anyone faced an issue while using JSON path option for search facets predicates and resolved ? When I am using JSON path for any predicate then that predicate gets disappeared in search rail.  Is there any template of this JSON? 

Hi all, My instance of AEM is having an issue with our Workfront connector. As of last week, users can't create linked project folders. We're also unable to access linked project folders that were previously uploaded, so users without a DAM license can't access the files they added to Workfront in the last 2 years. We met with a Workfront rep, but they believed it was an issue on the Workfront side. Still waiting to hear back from our AEM Assets reps. Anyone else having similar issues? Or any recommended approaches? Thanks,Morgan 

Hi! I have created a User Group on IMS (on the Admin Console) and synced it with AEM (by adding myself as a user and then logging in AEM). It works well. Then, I had to rename the group (on IMS / Admin Console) and I don't understand how/when it is updated on AEM.I noticed that the new name is not immediately updated on AEM. After some operations (adding a new user and let him logging in), I saw that a new group with the new name is created. But it doesn't seem to work always like that. How can I sync the new User Group's name properly with AEM?

My AEM Assets instance is integrated with Dynamic Media. Currently I use the dynamic media URLs of every asset and use it to author in a non-Adobe application.If I use Micro frontend asset selector, can I choose the dynamic media URL (https://scene7.com/is/image/projectname/abc) instead of the repository path "/content/dam/abc.png"?Is this applicable for videos as well?

I am trying to upload assets to AEM Cloud Service using the Asset Upload feature since the Assets HTTP API for creating assets is deprecated. The documentation I am using is here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/assets/admin/developer-reference-material-apis#asset-upload I am getting a successful response for the first step, Initiate Upload and I am using an access token for authentication since this is originating from an external application, per the documentation. But I am running into an issue with the second step, Upload binary. This second step fails with and without authentication. This request throws a 403 FORBIDDEN response stating: "Server failed to authenticate the request. Make sure the value of Authorization header is formed correctly including the signature." The documentation does not call out any authentication and even including an access token in the Upload binary request causes it to fail as well with
