Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Hi our compony use AEM , and we create more than 1000 components  and more than 10000 content pages, but now we have been tell that too many components and content pages by platform team, and they said have many risk on platform . May I know is component and content pages numbers have limited?? Many thanks!

I am new to User Admin and am setting up some new usergroups. I have seen references in the documentation that you can "nest" groups to give a baseline set of permissions.   My question is about what order AEM goes through the permissions. If I create a new custom user group, and make it a member of DAM Users, and then make some more restrictive permissions in my custom group will those supersede the ones DAM Users grants?   Example: Custom group would only be allowed to access specific folders under /dam. DAM Users grants access to the entire /dam. Would a user in my custom group still be limited to only the groups the custom groups allows or would DAM User take precedent?   Thanks!

We are on AEM Cloud and would be using preview service as staging for pre-prod review of content and would like to avoid dispatcher caching at this layer. Is there an OOB way to disable dispatcher caching (specifically for JSON services) for AEM preview instance. thanks.  

I am not able to uninstall it and also not able to run it on my laptopIs there any solution for this?

I'm working on a demand that needs a column to be added in the assets console of AEM as a Cloud Service. This column needs to present the data of a specific field of the content fragments in folder. (jcr:content/data/master/my_field)   I got it by doing an overlay of availablecolumns and reorder.jsp in my local SDK. - /apps/dam/gui/content/commons/availablecolumns - /apps/dam/gui/coral/components/admin/contentrenderer/row/common/reorder.jsp   but working with jsp is no longer recommended and maybe not even supported.   There is another way to achieve this goal? Maybe using clientlibs or PageInfoProviders. And how? Someone has an example?  

Hi community experts we are facing weird issue where we can not edit and save the properties of any content fragments. As soon as we save content fragments after edit it is giving an error. It is opening the erro dialog and saying unable to edit the properties. Here is the stack trace. I am new to user admin in AEM as a CS and have a request to create user groups that can only see a specific project in the DAM. Right now we are working with three project folders for testing purposes, but the final work will include up to 75 or more project folders.   My DAM top level folders: /content/dam/projectX/... /content/dam/projectY/... /content/dam/projectZ/... I need to have a user group that can read /projectX but should not even be able to see the other project folders due to client confidentiality. Additionally, there will be users that have access to more than one project, but not all projects so they might need to see X and Z, but not Y for example.   I have created a user group with the path /content/dam/projectX given "jcr:read" access, but when I login with a user in that group it still sees /projectY and /projectZ. I even tried setting the read access on a lower subfolder inside of /projectX but the user can still see the entire DAM folder structure

Is it possible to have a REDIRECT associated with a dam:Asset?Thank you for any assistance you may provide.-Dean

Hi there, Hope you all are doing well!   I have a query and require community support.   Can AEM assets be leveraged to create, store and manage branded asset templates? Branded templates could be a flyer/leaflet, newsletter, or social media post. Once an asset template is created, we want to give business users capability to leverage these branded templates to create their own assets something similar to what outfit.io provides (https://outfit.io/social-automation/instagram-templates & https://outfit.io/event-automation/event-invitation-templates ).   I came across following link https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/assets/asset-templates/asset-templates-technical-video-setup.html?lang=en so looks like AEM assets do support branded templates but I am not sure if it can cover all the use cases [flyer/leaflet, newsletter, or social media post, PowerPoint and lecture/presentation templates, document templates (eg grant/awards

while creating brochures, business card, merge, flyer ,ad, post card  there is not templates available so how to create brochures, business card, merge, flyer ,ad, post card  templates in AEM.  The template option is not visible here.

Hi, Currently, we are on AEM cloud.We triying to view the asset metadata version and DAM metadata version from the assets admin console by navigating to timeline and clicking on the version. It is coming up as blank and I couldn’t see any versions after updating the metadata.This functionality is working fine for pages and i can see page history though.Any one faced the same issue in cloud ? Please suggest.

How can I create a report on assets with an expiration within 60 days and run it daily Monday to Friday. Report should include custom fields as well.

Hi,I added search results component , I configured the Property filter in operation field I choosen DOES NOT EQUALS I saved it and closed the property filter. Then after in property filter I selected Images,presentation,document, I have to get non image, non presentation, non document files as result but in search result I am getting images, presentation, document files as well as with video files. Can anyone help me on this issue.

We have a requirement to see who uploaded the asset's most recent asset version on author and when ? Is there any way to show those details to business users on publish site ?

Hello,The Assets are being deactivated when expiration date of an asset is reached. This is causing a problem where some of the pages leads to 404's. Is there a way like customizing OOTB ExpiryNotificationImpl removing the deactivate step so that asset don't get unpublished when expiration date is reached?

Hi,In asset share commons package the user menu, some property filters are appearing when we click on menu icon of header component. I created a search template in my project and in structure policy I added asset share commons-structure components to root layout container then I added header component at template level and I unlocked the component.I checked in page whe I click on menu I am getting blank. I found in some of the articles the usermenu component is giving that hello administrator part in addition to that there are some property filters, date range filters components also there. I didnt understand where they added user menu component, and some filter components. Can anyone help me on this. 

Hi, We're trying to implement linked folders between our Workfront and AEM instances. This has worked well for most of our assets, but we've encountered problems with either larger photography assets or video assets. Upon dragging and dropping assets into linked folders in Workfront, once in AEM, assets either do not process fully, or, in the case of video assets, stop playback after a few seconds, either in AEM or upon download. Are there any possible fixes to this solution, or anyone who has also encountered this problem? Any questions, please advise. (We're using the New Workfront experience, as well as AEM as a Cloud Service.)

Hi,I am running a custom query (plz see below) to fetch around 2million records(from past 10 years) from DAM, but due to extensive traversing thru nodes it is reaching threshold limit and throwing an exception. I tried to create custom lucene index to optimize the query result but no luck and getting the same exception.
