Adobe Experience Manager Assets

I'm starting to work with metadata profiles and want to set up a new DAM folder structure to leverage them. We use a lot of drop downs, tied to dictionaries, and I'm not seeing the option to include a drop down in a metadata profile. I see it in the schemas, but not profiles. Is there a way to do this?  To further clarify, I want to leverage profiles to automatically populate some of our metadata fields. For example, we are introducing a "public" folder and I want to set up a profile to automatically enter a distribution field with "external" and a data classification field as "public", taking the work off our digital authors. Both fields are currently drop down fields in the schema. I can't create a profile for this because the drop down field option is not available for profiles. 

After AEM upgrade to 6.5, we are seeing new metadata property dam:scene7publishpending getting added to all assets and versions when assets are created. How do we turn off this property as this is not needed by business. Is this added by any specific workflow in 6.5, confirm.Please suggest.

Hi Team, We have a use case in our project and need to move close to 100k assets to a different folder. We tried using AEM OOTB move functionality but it is extremely slow. I wanted to understand - ACS Commons Refactor is efficient than AEM OOTB operations of move, delete etc.?What are the other benefits/use cases of using ACS refactor.ACS Commons Refactor is not supported by AEM Assets as Cloud. Can we use Renovator to delete assets?  I have 10K+ assets in a folder that has sub folders that I need to retain - not clear on best/easiest tool to use.  

AEM Sites output has options to specify custom templates as well as clientlibs when generating output from DITA. However, I don't find an option to specify the same with the HTML5 output.As per DITA OT documentation  there is an option to specify a property file with arguments such as CSS root, copy css etc. but the AEM documentation for XML add-on doesn't expose those properties?

Hi, Where do the form templates physically reside when Adobe LifeCycle ES4, WebLogic 12c and Oracle database make up the environment?Does the form templates reside in WebLogic. If the physical location of these templates are in Weblogic, in which file path would these forms be in the OS in which the WebLogic is running?Why do the forms/templates reside in WebLogic instead of Adobe LifeCycle's aem/forms.html/content/dam/formsanddocuments? Thanks,Leena

Hello, Workfront provided a documentation on establishing connecttion from AEM to Workfront. Hi All, I have gone through the tutorials etc, including udemy courses but how can I learn without seeing or "experiencing " the software. A potential employer would at least expect me to have tried the platform before they give me a job. This I think is perfectly fair - you wouldn't give a formula 1 car to a guy with the manual in his hands. How do I learn / access a trial etc when the Adobe chat bot and Contact Form just close me out as I am not a million dollar corporate?Thanks !Dave

Hi Experts, I have to create a new action link at action bar say "Myaction" for assets pages which should open a dialog similar to ShareLink action dialog. On this dialog will have mutiple input options like text field, multifield and submit action, this submit action need to perform some serverside action like some transformation on selected assets and send a response to a 3rd party (server side logic has already been taken care of). I am able to create an action link, but not able to open dialog and perform submit action on that. Could somebody let me know step by step how to proceed  or share any reference material for the same ? PS: Granite UI is not my forte. Regards,Shya

so we are preparing for move to AEM Assets as cloud and I understand the content transfer tool is the one to migrate assets.Would like to get community's opinion on below points:-1. The bulk import facility/utility in cloud env allows to import data from S3 or Azure Blob - can it be scheduled/event driven (eg: every 10 mins or whenever there is new asset uploaded at source S3/Azure blob location. I could not find any frequency related configs there. But I hear its on the roadmap.Any idea on that?2. Hello Team, While trying to update the assets metadata using CSV, out of the 6 tabs, values ​​of fields in 5 tabs are updating correctly. But in the 6th tab values ​​are not getting updated. Hi Team, We are currently integrating AEM with angular.Hitting URL :http://localhost:4502/content/my-project/us/en/home.html page at which we are including the component(i.e. getting a current page method) but its returning always en.model.jsonResponse:Path: "/content/my-project/us/en.model.json" is the path given by JSON.Expectation output: /content/my-project/us/home.model.jsonIs there anything we are missing or any way to get the current page object on JSON file 

Hello, As per my requirement I need to some how process the uploaded csv(whenever client uploads csv with assetPath and metadata) file and modify the assetPath (before doing actual metadata update)given in csv and then process the importing metadata. Hello All, I have created a new Metadata Profile and is applied it to the Dam folder. When created a content fragment inside the applied dam folder, metadata is not inherited from the metadata profile. Metadata is inherited while creating any asset inside the folder.Functionality is failing for the Content fragment. Hello, Managed to overlay the code from libs /libs/wcm/msm/content/touch-ui/authoring/commons/js/msmTouchUICommons.js to /apps/wcm/msm/content/touch-ui/authoring/commons/js/msmTouchUICommons.js.I have provided allowproxy at the clientlib folder "commons" and have categories set same as in libs. I have no js.txt here under apps structure  to avoid the js load twice from etc and libs on the network tab, i see that the custom code comes up in libs instead of etc.clientlibs with my changes .Is there something that i am missing?
