Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Hi,I'm working in a requirement to customize the Assets page. In particular, it would be simply adding a disclaimer text in the upload pop-up that shows right after a new asset is uploaded. Common sense, tells me the requested change should be ridiculously easy to implement. Hi, We have recently moved on from AEM 6.0 to AEM 6.2. We can see that in the DAM Asset Update workflow, a step has been added to the workflow to create the subassets of a particular DAM asset. For PDF and PPT, we can see that there are sub assets created for each page/slide of the asset with primary type as dam:Asset. It appears similar to http://help-forums.adobe.com/content/usergenerated/content/adobeforums/en/experience-manager-forum/adobe-experience-manager/_jcr_content/forum/5_ciot/tg7e-hello_all_ihave/1_tosp/1xlq-_smacdonald2008wro/attachments/pdf.png. I can see that the subassets creation was present in earlier CQ versions as well, but the definition of subasset has changedCQ 5.2+ - https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/HowToRemoveSubAssetGenerationFromDAMWorkflow.html. This mentions that the workflow only creates renditions and metadata of the asset. Hi All,Am facing issue with renditions generated by out of the box workflow. I have uploading an images for example: xxxx.pngand below rendions are generatedcq5dam.thumbnail.140.100.pngcq5dam.thumbnail.90.90.pngcq5dam.thumbnail.48.48.pngcq5dam.thumbnail.277.236.pngBut when i check the dimesions for cq5dam.thumbnail.90.90.png, it is 90*44 instead of 90*90. For this reason editor has to manually crop.Can someone help on this.ThanksMadhu

Hi All,When we define the metadata property name for an asset, as per my knowledge it is unique. Only one property as "Name" with value is allowed for any metadata field in crxde. For example: define dc:title. Or it can also be done using metadata Schema Editor where we can define 'Map to property'.My question is:Is there any way to define 2 different property names for a given metadata field? I have a requirement to change the existing metadata property keyword from 'X' to 'Y'.However by doing this, asset metadata property in DAM will no longer display all the pre-populated values for existing metadata property 'X' in DAM.  How does AEM support this problem?I know in crxde, system will still store old metadata value with reference to the old property name 'X', its just that it will not be shown to the user in asset properties if I change it to 'Y' property name since mapping is changed.Do I need to write some custom workflow or any script which will copy the existing values to new one

I am looking to add user to user list in collection setting page, so that i can share asset to other user.but it only show Kelly Creative in the user list ,even if i  have provided the dam-users group read permissions at the path home/users.Please adviseThanks

Hello guys!I have to do a work-around in my current project, nowadays we are using the Touch UI process called "Create and Translate"  Link: https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/administer/sites/translation/tc-manage.html#par_title_4We have our assets structured in /content/dam/project/assetsAnd inside assets folder, we have the languages that we are supporting1. /content/dam/project/assets/en2. /content/dam/project/assets/fr3. /content/dam/project/assets/es4. /content/dam/project/assets/ru5. /content/dam/project/assets/jaWe are only using the process OOTB in AEM 6.2 to copy the asset and paste to each of the target languages.  According to the documentation, after select the asset, select the "Create Structure Only" and select the target languages. This is the quote:Use the Languages drop-down to select a language copy for which you want to translate. Select additional languages as required. Languages that appear in the list correspond with the language roots that you have created.H

Hi,I was trying to update the metadata property using cURL command on local Instance. If the asset exists the property will be updated successfully without any failure.If Asset doesn't exists in DAM and I try to update the property then the sling:folder structure will be created with <assetname>/jcr:content/metadata which is the real problem.Command used to update the property :curl -u admin:admin -Fsubscribable="true" http://localhost:4502/content/dam/abc/documents/en/advisors/product/jcr%3Acontent/metadataPlease help to fix this issue.Thank you in advance

Hi,is it possible, and if, how, to change the the title of a DAM folder using the touch UI?In the classic UI it is,simply right-click on the folder -> properties -> title. This is also possible for user accounts that are not adminIn touch UI, you can, as admin, click on folder settings and adapt the title there, but "folder settings" isn't available for non-admin accounts.How to allow our redactors to change the title of DAM folders?Thank you in advance for your help

Hi,I need to create interactive video. I have uploaded sample ..mp4 video in DAM and in /assetdetails.html window, the edit option is not there.when i try to edit it from view properties option, i am getting "Editing is not supported for this type of assets." Error message.How to edit and create interactive video?As per the below link i have enabled dynamic media in my local author instance.https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/administer/content/dynamic-media/config-dynamic.htmli am able to create interactive image. but not able to do it for video. My company wants to use WebDAM for assets repository. They also want web to utilize WebDAM too. Are there any downside for using WebDAM instead of AEM DAM?

Hi,i am doing search based on dc:format type on DAM folder.When we uploading the file to the dam content multiple dc:format types are generating for same type of documents but different format types . Example : Excel file 1. *.xls is the one file format type2. *.xlsx is one more format type of Excel file.for these two format types dc:format types are different. but both are excel files only. and few of old version doesn't have the dc:format types. Example : 2003 version word of MS word and PPT files. format types are *.doc and *.ppt.can you please explain any, one why AEM having this features with multiple things. Thank in advance, if any one explained.
