AEM Forms a PaaS?

Hi all,

On Cloud, AEM is SaaS, but why is Forms a PaaS?

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/forms/home.html?lan...  says "Adobe Experience Manager Forms as a Cloud Service offers a cloud-native, Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution".

Appreciate all your responses.

Thanks,

Rama.

The organization can use AEM Forms as a Cloud Service and get all these features in the cloud without requiring any local infrastructure. The service also frees organizations from complex upgrade cycles as it is always up to date with the latest features.

I think AEM Forms, Assets, Sites, etc. are AEM modules, as we can develop, deploy and manage applications using them, hence they are offered as PaaS.

AEM as a whole product is offered as a cloud service or SaaS, as its all operations, like updates, are managed by Adobe.

Thanks Vijay.

Is This fact documented by Adobe anywhere?

AEM Forms is an add on package on top of AEM.

What if there is a newer version of this package?

Who installs this Adobe or we?

Thanks,

Rama.
