Adobe Experience Manager Forms

I'm trying to make my first reusable Subprocess. It takes XML as input and generates XML as output. It is meant to use XPath for both input and output in order to make it flexible. Now, when I instantiate it in Another process and try to set XPath for input and output it fails. I also notice thatboth input and output has "data type:Document" instead of XML. I can work around the problem by adding a "Set Value" activity before and after the instantiation and then do the XPath there and just use Variable for input and output. It works, but is not nice and not what I wanted. Can anybody explain why the data type can't be XML and why the XPath don't work direct with my Subprocess?

We have a scenario :a livecycle process uses ddx to attach pdf (lets call it child pdf) to the parent pdf. The parent pdf is then apply usage rights.At the end of the process it output a the parent pdf with the child pdf attached to it. What is causing a problem now is that the child pdf (which used to have usage rights applied) have now got usage right removed. We have proved that it works if done manually using acrobat, but somehow its not working in an orchestration using ddx.

I can't figure out how to inserting process variables of type XML into XSLT Source templates. I have no problem inserting variables of type String.This is the insert part of my stylesheet: <xsl:variable name="stringvariable" select="'{$/process_data/@stringVariable$}'"/> <xsl:variable name="externalNodes" select="'{$/process_data/inputNodeNames$}'"/>The string variable is inserted and later printed for verification.I have also created a local variable (with same contents as external) for reference: <xsl:variable name="internalNodes">  <root xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format">   <block>$.Formularmetadata</block>   <block>$.Sorteringsdata</block>   <block>$.Metadata</block>   <block>$.Verksamhetsdata</block>  </root> </xsl:variable>I then invoke count(exsl:node-set()) on both variable in the template, but only the local have a value over 0.How can I get this to work?/BSPS. I have setup scribble signature on my adaptive form and also a signature step just below the scribble signature component.The scribble signature works well in preview, but the signature step isn't show the pdf, it just says loading...Any reason why the pdf isn't showing? i am using chrome and also have installed the chrome pdf viewer, still no luck.

Hi there, i got a question on the theme editor, in there i see Form -> Title, see pic attached highlighted in yellow.After i make changes, e.g. change font weight , change type of fontthen i want to see the changes on my adaptive form, but there is no such component call Form Title. How then can i see the theme taking effect on my form? Note that i have first created my own form template, and set the template to use my custom theme, then finally i create an adaptive form based on the form template.

I wonder where the XML of the Processes are stored in Workbench (Local Resources) and on the server (Remote Resources). Is this in a folder structure, or in a database?/BS

Hi expert i'm new in adobe livecycle designer, recently I have a requirement to display year only with YYYY format from input data with format DD/MM?YYYY. Actually I'm working in SAP C4C on sales quote we here input date from calender dropdown with DD/MM/YYYY format, but when we print the pdf file, the file just need to display theh year YYYY format only?Thank youRegards, Rindang

I thought I was on the right path. I have a drop-down with seven options. Here is what I need: If they select RFA (value 4) then "textfield14" becomes visible. If they select any of the other choices then "table5" becomes visible and "textfield14" goes hidden. My current formula is on the right track but if I select RFA and "textfield14" shows but then I choose another option, the "textfield14" does not hide again. we have xdps and processes in LiveCycle ES4. we are moving to AEM Forms on JEE platform. How exactly can we move our Livecycle Assets into AEM.what are the steps and what are the cautions we have to follow. Please help.

I have two scenario:I have two field. Field A and field B. I want to validate field B when A is changed and vice versa. So, how to trigger validation of particular form field when one field is changed?Validate rule applied when field is focus out. As a result, on click submit without focus out from a field, first field is validated and does not submit the form. On second click on submit it submits the form. How to handle this situation?

Hi Experts,Could any one of you suggest a solution for the below scenario:I have a subform1 ( with Item data , which can be flowed to multiple pages ) and I need to have another subform2 ( with another Item data, which can be flowed to multiple pages ) , at the end of subform1.Please suggest the "subform", "Pagination" , 'Accesibility" options to be set to subform1 and subform2.Also, do I need to place the subform1 and subform2 in the same "Content Area" or different "Content Area".Thanks in advance for your help.Regards,Krishna

As per this document on data dictionary, it's used to add data from backend sources into an adaptive document.:https://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6-1/data-dictionary.htmlBut there's no mention of how it does this. Is it through OSGI services? Also can it accept input parameters? Is there any link that expounds more on this?Thanks. Where can I find a dedailed description of what actions is done to a document when "GeneratePDFService/Create PDF" and "Assembler Service" create PDF/A (1-b) documents? The only information from Adobe I have found says that the document is unpacked and fonts are embedded. Other blogs (focusing on signed documents) talk about parts of the document is deleted and other parts are added.  Is there an official detailed documentation?

Or the PDF will contain the HTML markup code?Or is it similar to PDF rewriter functionality in AEM which uses xslt-fo to design a pdf based on content from the markup?I had a requirement where a PDF needs to be generated based on data from custom XML/ HTML and was wondering whether PDF generator could be used for that.Also, is this something that comes bundled with AEM?Thanks.

Hi!I've been going through the message boards and I am not finding my answer.  I have created a form utilizing LiveCycle.  I have made the form so that it can be fillable via Reader Extended PDF.  I need to be able to put a link in a text field that the next user can just click on it, and it will take them to a document in SharePoint for review.  I've tried changing the text field to rich text in LiveCycle, but the steps to add the link in the PDF is too lengthly and not friendly.  Once I finally get it to put the link in, the end user cannot just click on it.  They have to take additional steps.  Someone on the boards mentioned something about putting a button next to the field that will convert the text of the link in the previous text field to a link, but I cannot find those instructions or understandable instructions.  The management wants it to be where you just click on the link.  How do I do this?  I am not a techie, so I need instructions in layman's terms.PLEASE HELP! Hi All,I am using AEM 6.1 With SP2, my aem repository folder is increasing rapidly, I read on the tar compaction and tried them but I am unable to succeed.For online i followed - https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/AEM_6_TarMK_Online_Compaction.html; installed hot fix for oak. then restarted my aem, I am getting Authentication Support Service missing , I checked console all bundles are active.For offline I Used oak-run-1.2.11.jar and after running compacting step im getting error saying, SegmentNotFound Exception. -Thanks,Raghava.

Using AEM Forms 6.2 I've created several adaptive forms, each with rules applied to many of the fields.  Today I can see the rules but I cannot create a new rule nor can I edit the existing rules.  If I select a field that has a rule I can select the Edit Rules icon.  Here I see a list of rules that were created.  If I select a rule's checkbox, I see the Edit icon.  But if I click on the Edit icon it does not do anything.  Same for the Create icon.  Any ideas?

Hi all.AEM (6.2) Forms provides validation facilities for entry fields (email, telephone) for example. We'd like to add new functions that we can share, for more than just simple patterns. In the rules editor (visual editor) there is function list you can use. We'd like to add to that.We tried creating this:/** *Validate pattern  *@param {string} pattern - the pattern to use */ function ValidatePattern(pattern) {    console.log('hello');     return (this.value && this.value.match(pattern) == null) ? false : true; } ..Just to see if "ValidatePattern" would show up in the VisualEditor/FunctionsList. Hello Experts, I am working on a project where we are creating dynamic Adaptive forms.  Within that Adaptive form, we have a requirement to put Static text (disclosures, information etc). The static text can have some placeholders where data from XML needs to be populated. For example, it could be a information text such as - "You credit card allows you to withdraw $10000 a month" . Here the $10000 must be populated from prefill XML. I know in Livecycle world, we had something like Floating Fields. Do we have something similar in Adaptive forms? 

Hello Experts,I was wondering if anyone can help me with a query. I have a requirement where I need to call (invoke) an Adaptive Form from an External Application. When Adaptive Forms gets rendered, it needs to have some prefilled data. Here's the flow- 1. There will be links to Adaptive Forms in the External application2. When user clicks on the link, a backend service will be called to create prefill XML. 3. I need to be able to pass this prefill XML to the Adaptive Forms (when it renders) as section visibility depends on the XML.  How can I achieve this? I read this article (https://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6-2/prepopulate-adaptive-form-fields.html) and it talks about using the HTTP protocol OR a prefill service. But I dont know if they will be useful in my scenario.I am using AEM Forms 6.2 (OSGi). Is there an API call that the external application can make to invoke Adaptive forms with data? Or is there a way I can have external application make

I see error messages stating "no fault routes were found to be configured" in the logs. I have googled this, in hopes of finding some dokumentation, with no success. I suspect it is some way creating exception handling in the process. What does this mean? How do I configure these "fault routes"?

I have tried to install AEM forms multiple times, and keep getting stuck on deploying the EARs. It is my understanding that we have to do this through the JBOSS web interface because I am using the cluster configuration. Any suggestions on this?
