What I want:The user selects an Item in a data drop down list (dataDropDownList1). A second data drop down (dataDropDownList2) list is populated with items from a wsdl service. Hi,I have been trying to understand the relation between XFA and XDP.Using Forms Designer, we could create forms and save as XDP filea.Could this XDP document be considered as XFA document?Is it that XFA is a standard or protocol and XDP is an implementation of it?EchiSign could be used for forms with XFA format only. Hi,I am trying to integrate AEM adaptive forms with analytics using the following linkshttps://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6-1/configure-analytics-forms-documents.htmlI have completed the steps mentioned but get error in the last step when i try to enable Analytics on the form.The error says: Failed to enable analytics. Hi,PFAI have a repeatable panel(Applicant).I added sub-panels under this.I have another repeatable panel(Employment).In this panel i am reading First panel's name in a drop Down.My issue is when i am deleting any sub panel from the panel(Applicant) the drop down in panel(Employment) not refreshing.it's still showing same values.Can we call any function on panel's add(plus symbol) ,delete(minus symbol) buttons?~R

Is there a way to stop people filling in date fields manually?since there is a calendar, there not only is no need for manual entry but it also avoids input error..When I try to validate a date, it will either accept the manual date, or the calendar date but never both.Does somebody have a solution for this? .. either to validate both the calendar date & manual entry (entered in dd/mm/yyyy)Orto prevent users from typing inside the date field (& use the calendar!)(or prevent them from typing anything other than dd/mm/yyyy)('ve tried regular expressions but it does not accept the value from the calendar)Thanks hopefully!

Hi, I am creating an adaptive form in AEM based on an XDP file. I am having the general problem of understanding the format the validation patterns need to be in. Adobe Designer, where I create the XDP files, seems to have it's own pattern format -E.G. "text{'('999')' 999-9999}" for validating a US phone number and 'text{OOOOOOOO'@example.com'}" to validate an email (this does not even work)Unfortunately, all the built-in examples, as well as the examples in the documentation are based on a set number of characters. I would like to correctly validate all fields (email etc) and also text fields which can have an unlimited number of characters but only have a-z/A-Z characters. I am not able to define that correctly in Designer and also not in AEM on the form field field itself. It says "Regular Expression are permitted." but this seems to be incorrect.Can someone shed some light on the general validation that is being done in that weird format? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Than

Hi Experts,I have an opportunity to migrate LiveCycle ES4 application to AEM forms on JEE(as current application runs on WAS and Oracle).Following are the updates on the current environment,1) Using LiveCycle Designer ES (Version 8.2) the form templates were created in English and French Versions. Additionally using the built in Form Guide module of LiveCycle Designer ES, Adobe System has created flash version of TFSA form.2) Adobe Systems developed a Business Work flow module in LiveCycle Workspace for some operations.3) Most of the LiveCycle ES 8.2 built-in components as a LCA and deployed to LiveCycle ES2. The Flash component was also injected as a custom service to support LiveCycle ES2. Challenges within current app,~The existing Flash Guide plugin in Livecycle Designer was not available in LiveCycle Designer version 9~Adobe Reader PDF plugin is not supported by  modern browser thus user cannot access Application~ Most of the Livecycle Process management component has been removed

Hello, I'm a bit confused on what I need to install to update my AEM Forms 6.1.0 environment.  In the package share, I see AEM-Forms-6.1-SP1-WIN as well as both feature packs AEM-Forms-6.1-FP1-WIN and AEM-Forms-6.1-FP2-WIN.  Are there security fixes included in FP1 and FP2?  Support indicated that I only need to install FP2 so I am a bit confused.  Thank you.

I am using JavaScript Coding in LiveCycle and developing dependent drop-down boxes but I am having difficulty writing the correct code. See example below. I am trying to use a multiple case function that references an option that is listed numerous times in the previous drop-down. The problem that I am running into is that when I reference Chevy or Nissan and any color, it is returning the results of the color under the "Ford" column only. I will still see the color options (Blue, Black, Green and Purple) in my second drop down and it looks fine, but then the third drop-down only references "Ford" colors and options. (I did not list the code for the third drop-down).I want the customer to choose Chevy or Nissan and then have its dependent drop downs (based on the color they chose), but I cannot seem to make this work.I hope this is clear enough (probably as mud…). Hi Adobe folks,I am working on a Adobe invoice form, where in few currency fields might need to show as "-" if it is negative number.I am using Display pattern num.currency{}, but its displaying it as ($1,234,567.89), I want this to display as $-1,234,567.89Can anyone please let me know how to achieve this.

I have made a fillable form with LiveCycle Designer, it is a 2 page form that my customer will receive by email, fill out and then feeds into a regular ink jet printer to print off fields onto an already pre-printed page they have in their office (they are basically filling out their name, address, etc contact information to print onto a brochure that is pre-printed) My client will use Acrobat Reader to fill in the form. Does anyone know a way to do this? I have read about making the background non-printable, or non-visible, but my background is an already created PDF that I have imported (with the forms built on top of it in LiveCycle). Doesn't seem to work unless I import it as an EPS.I also have Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. Is there a different way I should be doing this instead of LiveCycle? I have tried to import the PDF background as an EPS, but the quality makes it really bad and I want the professional quality of the pdf that I already have built, as I have 10 of these to do a

Hi, I need to implement an adaptive form that redirects the user to a payment provider on submit (sending through only a subset of the entered data). Once the user payed, he will be redirected back to AEM. The payment provider will return with either an OK (with additional payment confirmation data) or a NOT OK. Happy path will need to trigger an email with a PDF containing all of the entered fields and redirect to a Thank You Page. Sad path will need to redirect to the same form page with an error message and the previously filled field data. Question I have is which is the best way to get all this setup with using the OOTB Forms? Should I create a custom submit action that goes to a custom servlet which will redirect to the payment provider? But since I am redirecting out half way through the form processing, where do I keep all of the entered fields meaning how can I retain the session in order to have the data available for the pdf or the error form page?Any help is much appreciate

I am trying to overcome the limitation of the image field in Adobe HTML5 forms. The image field doesn't allow browsing images to select the image to be inserted in the field.I did some research, and trying to find out how to solve this problem using JavaScript. My approach is based on using event.target (doc) object to import the image as attachment, and get the base64 string of the image.I did a quick test under HTML5 form, and I found out that if I can get the base64 format of the image using a Browse File Dialog box, then the problem is solved. Hi!We are currently using a process made in AEM Workbench to render PDFs. Now we would like to change to HTML5 but we have to remain our REST entry point as it is. I have read other threads regarding HTML5 and Workbench, and what I understand is it possible but not as easy as to render in HTML4.We have a fully working setup that renders HTML5 using a custom profile:http://host:port/lc/content/xfaforms/profiles/custom.html?template=...&contentRoot=...I have spent a lot of time reading through https://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/aem-forms/6-1/html5-forms/introduction.html with no result.Do anyone know how I render HTML5 using an AEM Workbench process?

Hi I want to use com.adobe.aemds.guide.servlet.GuideSubmitServlet to pass custom parameters from a custom submit action to the redirect page.http://localhost:4502/system/console/depfinder reports that the package 'com.adobe.aemds.guide.servlet' is available using maven dependeny:<dependency> <groupId>com.adobe.aemds.guide</groupId> <artifactId>aemds-guide-core</artifactId> <version>2.2.4</version> <scope>provided</scope> </dependency>But this package is not available in repository https://repo.adobe.com/nexus/content/repositories/releases/com/adobe/. By the way I haven't found any javadoc of GuideSubmitServlet. Is this class not intended to be used in custom code?Thank you,Urs

Hi, I am working for SAP adobe forms. I have an issue where i cannot make the header repeat on every page. I referred to many thread on this forum as well as SAP and followed the steps mentioned, but unable to get it to repeat. Details are as below :1. Created a subform with accessibility as 'Header Row', named it as  "Header" . It is 'Positioned' .2. Created a subform for items -In accesibility i have maintained "Body Row" this subform inturn has another subform and a table as it has some nested data to be displayed. Content is 'Flowed' . Overflow Leader -> "Header"3. Wrapped the above 2 subforms in a main subform  and changed the accessibility to 'Table'Attached is the screenshots for properties of Table subform and body subform.The form does not repeat the header from page 2 onwards even after these settings. Please let me know if i'm missing some setting.Regards,

Few questions here to understand more about AEM Forms that was difficult to find as a consolidated view on AEM forms technical view in this help page https://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6/getting-started.html1) How does AEM Forms / Adaptive forms manages form  data ?1.1) Is this managed via reverse replication to author and replicated to other publish instances in case of more than 1 publish instance ?2) When ever processing of data required 2.1 ) is this managed via separate processing AEM instances that is connected to a live cycle instance  ?2.2) Can we assume he also data is reverse replicated and then stays only with processing instance ?2.3)What is the use case of this kind of AEM forms & Live cycle?2.4) Why do we need a processing instance and why not continue with authoring instance alone3) How does AEM forms manage from entry state in case of multi publish instance ?4) What are the OOTB adaptive nature of AEM forms ? like device detection and content rendering - pdf vs html

So, a user that opens the Excelfile will not have to fill in customer-data that is supplied by the xml-file. It is automaticly filled. For example Customer name, address, postcode etc.   Now, we have created a simular form in Adobe Livecycle, but we cannot get the xml-data to be imported just like the Excelfile does. Is it possible, and how is it done, to open a pdf-form, import data from an external xml-file, all without user interaction?   Hope that my question is clear. Please advise
