I want to design an architecure illustration below:[img]architecture.png[/img]As a result there are some questions waiting for me:a)How to collect these pages message to generate XML file(Because i find the page of part block reference to other template);b)How to merge multi-page to one XML filec)If parse XML okey, how to store target translated file message for target page (In other word, maybe some translated message need to store special somewhere, right?) Above of all, i am new to AEM and ensure the architecture correctly, so that each process walk on a right way.Anyone expert could help gvie constructive suggestion? If the FormsService.renderPDFForm("crx:///content/xyz.xdp",...) is called with an xdp stored within the repository (using the crx://.... path), the FormsService retrieves that xdp from the repository using a ResourceResolver inherited from the context of the current request. This works fine, if we are in a servlet request context.But if the call takes place in a different context, i.e. some arbitrary service (in my case a sling health check service), there is no ResourceResolver. This leads to the error   AEM_FRM_001_006:resourceResolver is Null which occures within the com.adobe.forms.aem.impl.RepositoryServiceImpl.Other rendering services like the OutputService.generatePdfOutput(...) can be called not only by a string parameter to define a path of an xdp but also by a Document object containing the xdp. Hi Folks,The following link http://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6/output-service.html gives info about generating PDF document in AEM, but I do not find the OutputService class in the jars that come along AEM 6 installation. Please let me know if any of you have tried creating PDF document in AEM without using a serviceclientfactory to connect to Adobe Livecycle ES4.The Java API link given at http://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6/javadocs/index.html, but not able to find a single example that uses these API to generate a PDF. Regards -Ashok Deivasigamani

I have installed AEM 6.0 quickstart, and also installed the example described here:http://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6/synchronizing-adaptive-forms-xfa.htmlI am able to open the adaptive form for edit, however the adaptive form data model tab (on left hand side) is blank, screenshot attached.  Also, there is a warning: "Unable to generate JSON from Template provided in Adaptive Form.  Please see the server logs for more Information".I couldn't find further information in the logs.Has anyone had issues using the sample adaptive form described in the link above?

Hi,I would like to use the renderPDFForm method from the FormsService to render a PDF. As input I would like to use an XDP stored in the crx repository. This is a very plain use case I think. To my surprise the renderPDFForm method accepts as input parameter only a filesystem path or a url. (see http://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6/javadocs/com/adobe/fd/forms/api/FormsService.html)To feed an xdp from repository into that method it would be necessary toa) load the xdp from repository and temporaily store it to the filesystem to be able to use a filesystem path orb) compose a url like http://localhost:4502/content/dam/forms/testform.xdp to be able to use a url.Both approaches are not very elegant. a) doubles all forms in an external filesystem and b) causes lots of trouble because of anonymous access and acl restrictions.Can someone please outline me a best practice?Btw: the corresponding OutputService.generatePDFOutput() accepts a docmanager document as input xdp. Hi, I'm looking for a replacement for the ExtJS widget which had the xtype 'cqinclude'. My company is upgrading to 6.0 (SP2) from 5.5 and a lot of our page components rely on cqinclude to cut down on duplicated dialogs.I know we can switch to classic UI to view the old page properties dialog, but they do not work in the granite ui (not sure if it was intentional or a bug, but it throws a javascript error stating "GraniteClientLibraryManager is unknown" (or something similar). We would like our authors to have a consistent experience, so we're going to be training them on the new Granite UI (since we expect that to be the norm from here-on out). Is there a similar form component to the cqinclude widget? Also if anyone has a list for migration of extjs to granite that would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

I have a drop-down list wrapped in a subform in a table cell. Users can pick Green, yellow or red and I want the background colour to change according to their selection.Can you tell me why this script is not working? I have created several text fields in a form that was created to be filled in and then printed. The text fields allow for multiple lines but when they are printed they only print the text that has been displayed. Is there any way to get Adobe to print all of the text in the field? Thanks! Teri

I'm having an issue with checking if any the instances of a field within a table are empty. If any are empty I need a message box to appear. There's one header row and one body row with several text fields. Hi -I have created a multi-field pdf form that includes a button that generates an email.  The email body contains content of specified fields.  All this is working fine.  The issue is that in one of the fields, a network path is entered.  When the email is generated that information is included in the body of the email and often the resulting link is broken, because the path often contains spaces in the path name.  It seems that i can fix this issue if the empty spaces in the path are replaced by %, for example, prior to having users generate the email.How do I create a javascript event that looks at the raw value of the field where the network path is stored and replace any blank spaces with a % sign?Thank you so much in advance for your help!!!!

I have a script that "walks" through all the records in an Access database table to find the largest file ID number. This script has been working correctly. Now I need to add a prefix to all the ID numbers. This requires me to modify my script so it ignores the one character prefix (prefix is either a "T" or a "Y"). Dear all,We try to hide only the caption of a field if the field content is empty. a) The following code will hide the entire raw (entire field including caption). What should we change to the code to only hide the caption?-------------------------------------------------------if(this.rawValue == null){  this.presence ="hidden"}-------------------------------------------------------b) Another option would be to use conditional formatting -> change caption text to white colored text,  if the field content is empty to make it invisible on the printout.Is there any options in ALD available or which code should be used to realize one of the above options?Thank you in advance!Kind regards,Roy

Hello, I am new to Adobe LiveCycle Designer. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro X installed and it comes with LiveCycle Designer ES2. My question is that I created a fillable form in LiveCycle Designer and posted to the web. I then founded out that my PDF form can be opendded in IE 11 when clicking on the form link, but got error when opening in Safari, Firefox and Chrome. I did some search and got to know that LiveCycle Designer form is not compatible with the built-in PDF viewers in certain browsers. End users will have to change their browser settings, which I don't like.I also noticed that the federal government’s PDF forms are also created in LiveCycle Designer when you download and see its ‘File Properties’,  those PDF forms can be opened in all browsers, like Safari, Firefox, Chrome, does anybody know how could they do that? I have a requisition form that consists of three major sections - a header, a details table, and a footer. The details table must be able to expand to fit, which means the form must be able to flow onto a second page. All the fields in the header must repeat on the second page. The footer should only appear at the bottom of the details table, once, not repeated on every page.After much tinkering with flowed and positioned subforms, I've got this working with the details table inside a flowed subform, with a positioned subform within the header and footer rows of the table. I suspect this is not the 'correct' way, but it's the only way I've been able to get working. So my header happily repeats on the second page, but the values typed into the fields in the first page header do not show up on the second page. The user must be able to edit the header on any page and have all the pages headers update. Can anyone please point me to a tutorial or give me an idea of what code would achieve t

I have created a dynamic form in LiveCycle ES Designer. It has a dynamic table and a dynamic text field. The table has a single row with 6 cells. Inside of each cell I have created sub forms and then placed various boxes (text, drop downs, etc). I have created an add and remove button to replicate the table if another one is needed.In my table in the first cell I have a drop down field currently that goes from 1 to 75. When you click on the add row button and it replicates another row I would like for it to auto populate the field to indicate #2, #3, so on and so on as you add table rows. I realize that it can not be a drop down field and will most probably have to be a text or number field. What I do not know however is the java that will tell it to generate the next sequencial number when I add a new row. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction to find my answer? How can add page numbers to my 10 page document I justcreated? Is there a way for me to add page numbers in the footer like you can in MicroSoft Word? The problem is, I already have created my form & can't re-arrange it any. If I could manually type the page number in that would be fine to...I just need it to be in the footer area..Can someone help?

Hi all -I've got an expanding table (rows can be added) and I'm trying to use the footer row of the column to compute the average of cells that don't have a value of 0.Form Calc is usually great, but in this instance, I need to divide the sum by the number of cells that are not zero and I'm not sure how to do that via Form Calc.Successfully used javascript to both identify the total number of instances and identify the number of instances that are zero, so the denominator part of the equation is fine. (# of instances - # of zeros = denominator.)Now it's just the numerator. It's got to be a loop, right? Table is called: table1Row is called: datacell is called: eValueAny thoughts? We recently purchased a second copy of LiveCycle so that I can aid in form development. I had a 60-day trial installed awhile ago (that has since been uninstalled) and everything worked fine. I could edit PDFs and then preview them right inside LiveCycle.So a few months since the trial go by and now we decide to actually purchase it. I get it installed and open up a form to get to work - then I notice the PDF Preview tab is gone and in the "View" menu, it is grayed out. F5 also does not work.So, after scouring the Internet, here's what I've tried so far that didn't do anything:Make sure Display PDF in Browser is checked. I don't have this option in Arobat Pro XI, but I installed Reader X and it was there and checked.Installed Acrobat before LiveCycle. Tried it, didn't work.Make sure the Adobe PDF Viewer is enabled in Internet Explorer. Done, was enabled when I checked.Reinstall all products. Uninstalled Acrobat XI, LiveCycle, and Reader. Reinstalled Acrobat XI, then LiveCycle. No luck.

The first subform is positioned, the fields have to be placed correctly. The second subform is fundamentally a table header for the third subform, which is the rows of the data. I am doing a dynamic form which has drop down rows (click the + button, then a new row will be created, so the user can have as many rows they prefer, then there is a footer with E-signature in it (hopefully the footer can be shown at the last bottom page only) ). My issue now: So when I have 2 pages of forms in total, the bottom of the first and second page will both have the footer (Signature). However, if there are 3 pages of form in total: the bottom of the first and third page will both have the footer (Signature), but not the second page. What I want: How can I ONLY have the footer (signature) at the bottom of the last page, not on the first page, no matter how many rows and pages the user created  ? I can screen shot the form if needed. Please help. Many thanks
