Adobe Experience Manager Forms

Folks, I see this question was already answered in this thread. But just need some more details on how simply this can be done.I have a form with some fields and a button (which actually performs remove operation). So on click of this button, I want equivalent record to be deleted in the Database too.I already written a servlet, which actually does delete operation for the input provided. But I don't know how to use this servlet in Form. I know how to retrieve data from DB, display as JSON in servlet and use that in the Form Fields, but the other way around is I am a bit not clear.Please help with your inputs. Regards,Sri Bhargav

Hello Folks,We are currently working on a requirement, where I need you guys help. We have a form created with Form Model selected as FDM and connected to MySQL DB. It has one Repeatable Section / Panel and we used an Instance Manager as the option for doing the same, which has 2 buttons (Add and Remove). We used a Fragment for creating that panel and properly binded to DB fields.When we try to insert data into DB using FDM service, expected scenario is if a user adds one more entry of same section with different details, then in the DB, I should see 2 records inserted (we have a logic at our end which is based on Unique Identifier at table level). But currently I see only 1 record getting inserted every time. I was assuming that section with proper binding is the one which is repeated, then same binding should be applied there too, but I doubt whether it was happening or not. Can someone please help in understanding of  following questions on 1. Folks,Need your inputs on having pop-ups implemented in Adaptive Forms. I was going through some live demos from Adobe and haven't find one sample atleast related to this functionality.We are trying a use-case, where we are looking to have pop-ups and these gets rendered especially when user tries to "add" / "update" more details. We can use an Accordion / Instance Manager for this requirement, but form gets lengthier. Instead, on click of Add / Update a pop-up window opens with form fields, where user can fill and on click of submit, it either creates a row in table on main form (or) somehow store in DB. We are trying to keep form length as minimal as possible.Is this suggested approach and any samples are available for reusing (or) should we need to do it by our own using UI frameworks or client libs?Regards,Sri Bhargav

Hello,can you please give me any idea how to force LiveCycle ES to display any footer only on the last page of a dynamic form? I can write a short script which would check if the dynamically generated page of the report is the last one or not, but how can I do it in a Form design? If I create a footer on Master page, under a content area, then the place reserved for the footage will be generated on each page (it will be hidden because of the script condition), but not only on the last one.Does anyone have any idea?Thank you very much for any suggestions.Best Regards,Jan

I am trying to install AEM Forms 6.5 on Windows 2016 Server running Windows SQL2016. I am using the Partial Turnkey option, and on the Partial Turnkey Installation Options I select MSSQL Server.  The installation completes without any errors.  During the AEM Forms Configuration Manager Datasource Configuration screen, I click Test Database Connection, and I get this message “Error [ALC-LCM-130-107] Database settings failed validation. Note: Windows Authentication on SQL Server will fail the connection test.  See documentation for more details.”I have tried the JDBC drivers mssql-jdbc-6.2.2.jre8.jar, mssql-jdbc-9.2.0.jre8, mssql-jdbc-9.2.0.jre11, and mssql-jdbc-9.2.0.jre15 with the same error.  If I ignore the error and continue with the installation, I get this error “Bootstrapping Error: ALC-TTN-103-0000 Failed on step invoking component bootstrapper task Bootstrapping UserManager   ALC-TTN-103-000 Bootstrapping request failed on server.  Message fro

Hello Folks, I am a bit confused on how do these Form Fields (when binded to same DB field) work. I have created 2 fragments (let's say Emergency Address and Permanent Address) with FDM and binded properly. These both are actually same in terms of fields and binding, but I just want to bring them up in form as separate sections.When I am testing  entering data in an textbox (address line) of Emergency Address section, I observed that data is automatically getting populated into textbox (address line) of Permanent Address section. I have no rules written to set value of or something else, but still it is getting changed as and when I try to modify or update.On deeper investigation, it was found that "fields which are binded to same DB field" are getting same value as input, if you try it either way. This doesn't happen when there is no binding at all (or) if those 2 fields "address line" of each section are binded to different DB fields.Please correct me if this is expect

Dears, I have created a custom DOR in designer with Arabic labels, but when it is binded with inputted Arabic values from AEM form, it is printed as garbage values.I have tried to change the locale for both the AEM forms and designer but still no luck. So, my question is "Does DOR support Arabic mapping / binding?" Thanks,

Hi everybody, hope you can help me,  I have been playing with AEM designer, with some success making fillable expandable XML forms. I would like to include scribble signatures on the bottom of some of the new forms to capture client signatures in the field. When I tried implement this using reader on in Windows tablet the form works as expected, but the signature field brings up an image browser instead of the scribble box.From some of the research I have I have performed online I can see the scribble signatures seem to be only for use with mobile forms, however I am often in locations where there is little to no cell signal. Can I create a form in designer which can then be opened locally on the tablet and capture signature data and save it locally with the form field data. It would then be sent to the relevant parties and stored on the network drive when I am back in a signal area? Thanks for your valuable time Paul

I wanted to know if there was a JavaScript code to complete the following actions: 1) I would like to automatically populate the first section by the number of cities and days when entered. I am having issues figuring out how to populate all (3) tables once the information is entered. 2) I've tried using the action builder and creating scripts to match table 1 Transportation cost and table 2 Transportation cost. It only does it once, but not if the cities repeat.  Could someone help me with this? And I apologise for my vague descriptions.

Hello everyone, From my understanding of the forms portal in AEM, you can only see drafts & submissions submitted by yourself. In the use case where someone with a group admin role wants to see all drafts & forms submitted from their group, how can that be achieved?

  

I have a form that once filled in creates a document based on the users input. For some reason, the if statement are not reading the variable to select the proper event to execute. The same if statements are used in other parts of the document to spawn the required pages and work perfectly. I can not find any problems in the code and the debugger shows ReferenceError: tr1 is not defined. 2:Field:Calculate.The problem is with variable" tr1, tr2 . I develop our forms and publish them to PDF via the clunky route of opening them in Acrobat Pro and saving them as Reader Extended | Enable More tools.  I am wondering if this process impacts the fillable fields?  I have a multi-page form, and in one section there is a small text field, a drop down, then another text field.  These three fields never save:  I input information into the fields, save the file, then close the form.  Once the forms is opened again, there is nothing in those fields, but just those fields.  Similarly, I have a few tables with buttons to add rows.  That works fine.  But a few tables down, one row keeps repeating when I do this.  I cannot determine why.  Any suggestions?

I want to debug more in JS. I created a searchClicked(guideRootPanel) function inside helper.js. It gets into it fine. I want to access visibility:  guideRootPanel.matchPanel.useThisRadioButton.visible = false; Is this advisable? I tried it earlier today and it deleted the radio button from the JCR while I was debugging.(Unless I'm losing my mind) Just checking. I don't need AEM forms pain.

After start, when we try to hit workflow to generate fillable PDF which is calling FormsService component's renderPDFForm method it fails to load and throw error in generating pdf.Though other component services work fine like OutputServices or Assembler service. Even after multiple restart of JBOSS service it doesnt help and we have to do full VM reboot to bring the services to normal operations. Any idea what needs to be done or this is a known issue? ThanksManu  

Hi community,for the panel in AEM forms it is possible to set the columns. For instance if I set the panel columns to "2" and put into the panel two inputs, both inputs are in one line. But when I switch to the tablet or mobile view, each input gets a line/row. My question: is it possible to set the columns for different view types or style it in another way like I can do it with components on a page in layout mode?Regards,Andrea
