Adobe Experience Manager Forms

Hey guys ,Actually I have a text field which is binded with a long text , need to color a specific character from the string. Got an idea of using replace function  replacing the text with a colored text using javascript , used the following script : (the rawValue contains text "this is only for testing")var e = "BLAH";this.font.fill.color.value = "0,56,101";//e.value.font.fill.color = "0,56,101";var str = this.rawValue;str = str.replace(/ only /g, e);this script works but it colors the entire string , the third line of script does not work(so commented it). Can we set color to the value of the variable e which I've defined above and pass that variable to replace function ???

Hey guys ,I have 5 text fields vertically one over the other in the layout name,address, street , street2 , post code . I have binded the text fields with an internal table(SAP) that populates the data on to the text field. Among the five two fields street 2 and post code works fine without any space leading them but the other three fields are having a blank space leading them i.e. blank space and name/address/street gets printed. How to remove the blank spaces using javascript or formcalc and which event is to be used ?Please help me out.

I am wondering is there any OOTB timeout component for Adaptive forms (AEM 6.3 forms)?our ask is if adaptive form is open with out any activity for 13 mins then we should open time out popup , after two mins we should redirect to home page.  Am looking if there is any OOTB component which  can be extended or reused ?Thanks,Chandra

Hi,I am trying to implement AEM form draft submission feature , i have configured mysql database for draft submission .When i am saving the form the data is saved successfully in my database (Mysql) .but when i am refreshing the page the data is not available in forms fields, i am doing it on my Author instance.I want form saved data to be prefilled in forms fields .Any help .Thanks in advance.

I need to present a Form B to the user after he submits Form A.  Form B needs to be prefilled with data based on values entered by the user in Form A.  I know how to set up a custom submit service.  I know how to specify Form B as the redirect for Form A so that it appears after a successful submit.  I also know how to set up a custom prefill for Form B.  What I can't seem to do is pass anything from Form A's submit service to the prefill service for Form B.  I must be missing something obvious, but I've searched high and low with no success.In the prefill service I have access to DataXMLOptions.  From there I can get a user ID, but that's not useful because these may be anonymous users.  Is there anything that I can set in my submit service that I can access through DataXMLOptions (e.g. a session ID)?  If so, I could stage what I need in a file or a database during the submit service and retrieve it again in the prefill service.  I just don't see any way of doing that.Any help is grea

All,I'm new to Adobe Forms development and I've run into a roadblock. I'm connecting to a web service I've created to populate data into a form. The form is for internal use only and only using Acrobat Reader with Extensions. I've followed several articles I've found to make progress but I've got one problem I haven't been able to overcome yet.I connect a drop down list to the web service to populate the list. When an item is selected from that list, I call the web service again to retrieve to more data values and populate two more fields in my form. This all works great and as described. The problem is that these fields are part of a repeating table. When a new line is added to the table and new value is selected from the drop down list on that line, all secondary values in the table change as well. So the drop down list choice on line two not only populates the data lookup values for line two, but it also overwrites the values on line one.I've found articles that talk about using a p

I'm trying to build a password reset form for logged in users to my site. I've set this up with an adaptive form, added rules for validation with new and confirm fields that must match and meet our defined password guidelines. Using Adobe Experience Manager Help | Posting Adobe Experience Manager Form Data to Custom Services I've created a custom submit action that calls my service and will update the user's password if the current password is correct.Unfortunately, if the current password is incorrect, the form still takes the user to the confirmation page. I've been able to modify my service to return a message, but I'm not sure how to handle this in the custom submit action to return it to the user or prevent the thank you message or page from loading. I've read through articles on using AJAX to call a custom servlet to process a form, but all of the tutorials are building these forms in JSP, not using the adaptive forms. I haven't found anything that seems to directly address AJAX

Hi I wonder how I can make my custom submit action returning a value and have this value available on the redirect page saying as url parameter?Example:1) submit action generates a kind of ticket number2) i want to use the ticket number previously generated by the submit action in a link on redirect page.Regards,Urs

Hello,After installing AEM Forms 6.3.2.2, our AEM cannot be restarted and is stuck on startup. We ensure that the Boot delegate RSA and BouncyCastle libraries are included in the sling.properties file after installing AEM Forms and dependencies packages. Hi all,the question is quite simple (but I did not find a clear answer yet online):If I have only the licence for "AEM sites 6.3", what "form" functionalities can I use in production without buying the "AEM forms" licence?the only ones that don't need the "Add-on feature / AEM forms package" (see screenshot - area 1)Nothing from this list (see screenshot - list 2)If the right answer is 2, are there any alternatives to manage and customize forms (something like a multi-field that let me build a form from basic elements like input, button, textarea, selects, radio...)?thanks!

I've written a servlet to generate Document of Record PDFs for our forms. After some work, I've gotten it to output PDFs, but the PDFs are always damaged.Viewing the PDFs in a text editor doesn't reveal anything obviously wrong. I have created a custom theme, and in 6.4 you can choose a theme at form creation (rather than waiting until editing the form). However, is there a way to programmatically force a theme so that the new theme is the default, rather than Canvas? Thanks!

Hi, I have a form that check for data validation using script. If the "Enable Acrobat JavaScript" is not check at the Adobe Reader, the form data validation will not be executed. How can I solve this problem? Any script to enable the javascript? There is this AddRequirement method for the document object, I tried but don't seem to work. Thank you.

Good Afternoon,I'm using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional, I have created a form using LiveCycle Designer (from a PDF ) that contains only text fields, radio buttons and check boxes. When the form is saved, it can be opened without trouble in both Reader and Professional. However, when I select 'Enable User Rights in Adobe Reader' with Acrobat, save, close and re-open, the file opens (in Professional and Reader) with the message 'This operation is not permitted'. After two click-throughs the error box disappears, but it's a bit unprofessional and I can't get it to go away. I've made two other forms the exact same way and they don't have any problems, only this one does.I've tried doing everything I could think of, both in LiveCycle and Acrobat to try and fix the dang file but nothing works. I fixed the fonts so they are all embedded now. Please, if someone, anyone out there has any suggestions or solutions, post them now. Thank you.

We are working on a project that requires communication with ms dynamics crm from AEM. I see that AEM forms add-on already bundles an odata connector (aem-dermis-odata-connector-2.0.54) and would like to use it instead of adding a bunch of jars. But I cannot seem to find relevant maven dependency on https://repo.adobe.com. can anyone help? Thanks.

Hi,when trying to configure a SOAP Web Service as a data source in AEM Forms 6.4 it's not possible to enter the authentication data although it's possible to select the authentication type i.e. there are no forms fields to enter the authentication information.For the particular case we were selecting Basic Authentication.In 6.3 one was presented with form fields to enter the data.Am I missing something?AEM Forms 6.4 JEE on Windows Server 2016 IE 11BRMaruan

We've got an invoice adobe form in SAP where the last page should always be printed on a different kind of paper.That requires us to use a different intput and output tray for the last page.Out current workaround idea:Print the document twice: First time without the last page, second time only the last page. This way we have 2 separate print jobs and can control the intput/output tray as we may. But we can't manage to always delete the last page.The pages are filled using repeating subforms. We don't know how many times the subforms are repeated at design time, and how large they'll be.Any ideas on how to solve this?

I have AEM Forms 6.4 on Windows Server. Just now downloaded AEM Forms add-on package for Windows (AEM-Forms-6.4.1.0-WIN-5.1.14.zip) from AEM Forms releases, but how to install it? I cannot see anything "installable" in the zip file.

Hi,I have a project where I need to have lots of signature fields on a single form. I don't want to use a signatureField because this will increase the file size every time a signatureField is signed. Also client does not want digital signatures.I set up three user variables (for both usernames and passwords), using Form/Properties/Variables. I then set up a dialogue box on the click event of a button, which requests the username and password. If these match the global variables, then the associated textField is populated with the user's credentials. I got this to work OK.The problems stated when I gave the user the ability to change their password. This would be an important, as the form would not need to come back to me to hardwire in the new password.One of the global variables is "Pass1".The following script changed the value of the variable, but would not hold the change when the form was reopened:     Pass1.value = AHSC02.strnewP;".value" shouldn't work, but it did???So I tried d

I have a form with a drop-down field that has 3 possible values (Today, Tommorrow, Next Week). Below this drop-down field is text field (TextField10) that needs to be filled out by the user ONLY if "Next Week" is selected in the drop-down. I would like for TextField10 to be hidden unless "Next Week" is selected. For TextField10, I have "this.presence="hidden" written into the initialize event so it is hidden when the user opens the form. This works.For the drop-down field, I have:if (this.rawValue == "Next Week") then TextField10.presence = "visible";     endifwritten into the exit event in FormCalc. I need this in FormCalc because I have many other scripts in the exit event already written in FormCalc and I don't want to have to change all of them.
