Workflow send email variables

I upgraded from AEM 6.4 to 6.5 as well as with forms, I had a workflow package that I created in 6.4 and it did not have the dropdown for a variable. now they wont work. can you please tell me how do I go about fixing this workflow?

So the email subject can be a variable or a literal
