Enable the create option in menu bar for selected assets post search.

Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) Summary: When we search any asset on author / Filter the assets, post doing that when we select single/multiple assets, can't see create option and hence unable to trigger the workflow for assets. Can we enable create option so business able to trigger the workflow.
Use-case:

1. Business go to author

2. Search the assets / Apply filter and search the assets.

3. Select list of assets post searching.

4. Business looking for the option to trigger the workflow. (to run on single/multiple assets)

Current/Experienced Behavior: Create option not visible. (So workflow option unable to use)
Improved/Expected Behavior: If we can enable the create option, business can trigger workflow on searched/filtered assets.
Environment Details (AEM version/service pack, any other specifics if applicable): AEM 6.5.5 ( Also checked in 6.5.7 same behaviour)
Customer-name/Organization name: Hershey's

We are using AEM Cloud, is there also going to be this enhancement on this version?

Currently the feature is tentatively scheduled for release in AEM 6.5.17 [1]. Per my prior note the current planning can be changed due to changes in the prioritization model.

When you said next service pack release, are you meaning the 04/05 release or one after that?

Can you share the specific release date?

It seems this feature is schedule to release in the next Service Pack. Please note that this is per the current planning and can be changed due to changes in the prioritization model.

I would like to know if the investigation is complete and if the enhancement will be delivered in the coming spring. In our organization, we are facing a similar use case, and we would like the ability to be implemented so our team can work better.

@hardik11071994 , thank you very much for sharing this wonderful suggestion, we really cherish that you would want us to improve. Customer/Partner voice is really an uttermost priority for us to listen/hear.

 

The request is already been taken for review by the team and they would get back to you soon. I do understand we would have the urge to hear an update soon. But, there are many processes involved internally that take some time to look at each of the requests. We try our best to first respond to the thread within 7 working days but follow-ups can take much more time as we have to channelize many other requests as well. Each and every Idea goes through the review iteration, so rest assured your submission would get a response definitely.  

 

Also, I would like to make a note here that Ideas submission would not always guarantee that it would get delivered in the product. But, I would like to assure you that each of them would pass a human review.
