Adobe Target

Is there a recommended approach to having Profile Scripts change but only effect a dev environment vs production?  Currently it seems like you can't allocate a profile script to a specific environment, so once it is edited, it will immediately effect production.

I was trying to implement target via Adobe launch. Hi All, On our site we are storing some data in localStorage that we'd love to reference for a Target audience. We tried to reference it through a profile script, but are presented with an error: "Your updates did not publish to Adobe's delivery network : Invalid script - Syntax or runtime error while executing script"- The script itself is very basic -- "return window.localStorage.getItem('dnb.industryNaics');" Our thinking is that this errors because its run on the server and doesn't have access to the individual device's localStorage. Is that correct? Here's what we can do/plan to do:1. We can run this all as custom code within an experience and only present the experience if someone fits the value we're looking for. The challenge with this approach is that it takes it out of the VEC so our typical marketer is unable to set it up without developer assistance. 2. Hi Experts, I have a scenario in our Production environment.We are creating True Production environment to point our Production website to resolve Target Catalog Data corruption due to lower environments pointing to Target Production. When we do this we need to move our prod host to point to True Prod and hence bringing downtime to Target Recs in Production website. Is there a way I can configure a single Host to multiple Target Environments so that the behaviors gets populated and then switch to true prod environment. Any suggestions really appreciated. Thanks,Karnakar

The "Create a Multivariate Test" documentation and the Adobe Target UI suggest that Visual Experience Composer is required to run Multivariate Tests. Is this true? We have the following business requirements for a given audience: profile attribute "stateA" is present AND does not equal "CT" OR profile attribute "stateA" equals "CT" AND mbox param zipCode equals one of a list of 300 zip codes This has been implemented successfully into an audience. Where we foresee future issues is with a follow up set of requirements:profile attribute "stateA" is not present AND profile attribute "stateB" is present AND does not equal "CT"ORprofile attribute "stateA" is not present AND profile attribute "stateB" equals "CT" AND mbox param zipCode equals one of a list of 300 zip codes I'm wondering if there's a way to store the list of 300 zip codes in a centralized place to avoid repeating the list across multiple audiences whenever we need to reference it. If the list of zip codes has to change, we would prefer only having to update it in one place, instead of multiple places.

Hi everyone, I have noticed that the activity targeted ONLY to the Chrome browser gets delivered to some other browsers too. Hello, I'm looking to try and create a profile script that counts the number of times that a page has been visited by a visitor, and outputs that number. I also want to specify that once that number reaches a particular value X the counter resets to 1. Does anyone know how I can do this? Thanks very much! 

I'm currently working on POC to integrate Adobe Target with external system ( CRM ). I want to use existing customer segment data created & stored in CRM for web personalization. Is there a way i can share segment information with Target  in real time or batch? Thanks Shubham

We're currently working with a Single Page Application and currently using JSON offers to drive our integration with Adobe Target. We have a business requirement that essentially reads:if customer is eligible for offer A and has seen offer A 3 times or less:  display offerAif customer is eligible for offer B and has seen offer B 3 times or less and is not showing offer A in this getOffers call:  display offerBif customer is eligible for offer C and is not showing offer A or offer B in this getOffers call:  display offerCWe're currently trying to determine if Target is the appropriate solution for this sort of requirement and if so, how it should be implemented. We've proof-of-concepted a solution that might work with profile scripts: Even with these basic requirements (this example doesn't include the the actual business requirements for when to display banners A B or C, which in their own right could become complex), the script has already become somewhat cumbersom

Hi,We're using DTM to fetch elements in the DOM of the page and put this in dataelement.  To use criteria to show recommended articles based off of the category of the viewed article, I need to pass entity.categoryId to target-global-mboxFor race condition reasons, I can't use the fields in the Adobe Target widget of the page load rule, so I use the Javascript / Third Party Tags widget to do this, on a "onLoad" condition, to make sure that my dataelement is populated.  Note that if I use static value, I can use the Adobe Target widget, but it's not an option since we have a lot of categories and this would translate in creating multiple rules, multiple criteria, multiple Target activities... not scalable.I'm using this to pass the categoryId to target-global-mboxadobe.target.trackEvent({    mbox:'target-global-mbox',    params:{      'entity.categoryId':_satellite.getVar("schemaPageCategory")    }  }  ); Now, with this, I see that Target has a second call to target-global-mbox with ent

Hi guys we have an issue where we two /delivery calls competing with each other and depending on which one finishes first, the wrong content is displayed.1. the default initial target call2. a getOffer call which is listening to the at-library-loaded event to trigger If the initial target call goes through first, the offer from the second call is shown - OKShould the initial call be finished after the getOffer call has finished and applyOffer been executed, it hides the offer content and shows the default content - BAD Are we listening to the wrong event? Is there something like "all mboxes ready" event which we could listen to instead?Or any proven approach that would work here? CheersBjörn

Hi all! I am new to Target, and the customer owns Target Premium. We have a couple of use cases  for which we have doubts.. -Cross/Up Sale with related products (looks). Test A/B to show related products the user is going to buy and whether show them in the shopping cart or in the check out. For this use case we need to filter out the categories. There will be products for which will be difficult to generate a related product which will be an upsale.  - Web Push to returning visitor who has left a shopping cart showing a message or highlighting the shopping cart icon in a different color.  Any idea of the feature/s most adequate to tackle these use cases, via recommendations and test a/b combination? With a visitor profile and or a profile script?Help is appreciated!Regards,Marcus

Hi, I'm creating an experience activity based on the condition if my URL contains this tag "sc_cid=123abc123" and I will serve them a banner on my site. I'm using a media agency to deploy the static banner where this will then drive traffic to my site with the tag, i.e. the URL that was embedded in the static banner click-through was http://www.mywebsite.com/en/home/?sc_cid=123abc123&dclid=dgggggaahh1222 so rightfully in my audience profile I state if the "Current URL" "contains" "sc_cid=123abc123" it will show the banner. Is there a reason why the banner is not showing up? Regards, Jansen

I just viewed the video on using dataProvider with the weather api. It set a mbox parameter and then based off that mbox parameter, we tell the activity to qualify a particular offer. What I'm trying to do is use dataProvider to grab HTML from a 3rd party and then use that HTML as my offer on a page. Can this be done? It looked more like it just set parameters for an activity qualifier. Example: I have HTML banners for all different screen sizes elsewhere. Based on a users screen size parameter, they qualify for an offer and I want to grab the HTML from my 3rd party host and place it on my page. All help is appreciated! Thanks

I've been using AEM to make XFs to export to Target. The more variations and complex things get, I've made several folder paths and some variations share names, but in different folders. Example: I have folders for production, staging, and qa. Under each folder, I have copies of XFs for my devs to work with. When I export an XF to Target, I'd like to export the file structure to Target. Is there a way for this to happen? For instance I export "xf_1" under the QA folder, in Target I want to go into 'Offers > QA > xf_1" to get to it. I'm trying to save time from having to make new folders in Target and move the offers when I've already done so in AEM. Also when I bring the XFs over to Target, I can only view them in the 'default workspace'. I have a prod and qa workspace, but I don't know how to make them appear in those spaces. Any assistance with how to make that work would be greatly apprecaited. THANKS!
