Hi, I am looking to create a user role that only allows for emails and landing pages to be edited in the Marketing Activities or Design Studio section. These users should only be able to go in and tweak emails or landing pages created for them. I can see the option in the Design Studio section to edit email and landing page but in the Marketing Activities section I can only get as granular as Edit Marketing Asset. Does anyone have a way to do this or do I have to force them to make the edits in Design Studio?

Hi, I am trying to delete all the empty folders using REST API. I noticed an endpoint to fetch all the folders (Folders - Marketo Developers), how can I check if the folder/subfolders are empty?   Thanks, Rohit  

I'm looking for creative ideas on how to fix an ongoing issue we are experiencing in Dynamics and Marketo. Unfortunately we have new records created in both Dynamics and Marketo. Not all new records created in Dynamics are synced to Marketo. Not all new records created in Marketo are synced to Dynamics.   With this set up, we have many records that are currently in both Dynamics in Marketo, however, they are NOT synced to each other and therefore, records are NOT linked. The moment the records triggers a sync from either system, the duplicate record is created in the target system.    We are actively working to dedupe in both systems independently. However, once we dedupe in each system, what are some ways we link the remaining unique records to each other?   Example: CRM record A has the same email address as Marketo record B. We decide to sync CRM record A to Marketo. Now Marketo record C is created. Records A, B, C all have the same email address. Later, Marketo

I am trying to edit the stream in the Member of Engagement Program filter in my smart list but am unable to. There is no function to remove or edit. Any insight is appreciated.  

Hi all,We are creating a Marketo template to have modules in and the container has been set at the <td> of the main table with the modules being table elements themselves.The modules show up in the module pane but you can't drag them into the email and the one on the page by default is not editable.I've made it as simple as possible to debug but does not work. Hi,Very new to the Marketo world and was hoping for a bit of feedback on my current challenge.We have a Marketo form that is embedded in a Sitecore page.When someone fills out the form an automatic email is generated with requested information.I would like to have the first name showing in the email (eg Dear John) So the Dear is set in our HTML but would like to know what token to use to get the first name in my email.Been trying to us {​{​lead.First Name:default=edit me}​}​ but I am not sure whether this is ok or not?Form settings for first name:Label: First nameField: (Secondary) First NameAlso, do we need to add a delay between form filled and email sent?Hope enough info was given, thank you in advance.

Hey Marketo community,I have a question in relation to building a webhook for Google lead forms:We're setting the webhook up and the documentation is all making sense but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the actual Hostname URL from google.I have documentation for how it works here - Overview  |  Lead Form Webhook  |  Google Developers But I'm not sure how I can test it and see what the Hostname (URL) is for Marketo:Everything else is just creating the webhook itself but testing the hostname and seeing where I can get that information for marketo remains a mystery to me.If we add our SOAP/REST (not sure which either) information here - where can I see the results of this test?I may be completely off base but any starting point to this would be greatly appreciated - or if you've created this before Have a great day,-Justin

Hi All,   I have webpage form (not a marketo one), and i have fields like F.Name, L.Name, Zip and email address.   I have added munchkin to the webpage.   Is there a way where i can get all the above data into marketo whenever a customer is filling the details?   Thanks   BRGaurav

Hi everybody, what is the best way to implement the known visitor functionality using the javascript api (forms2.0)? We are currently using the js api to get our forms from marketo which works great but now we are running into problems using the api to display a message for the user when he has already filled out a specific form.   More specifically we already got to the point where we get a different api response when we already filled out the form by setting the "Custom HTML" Option in the form and then rendering this html in our frontend. We don't know how to proceed here tho since the api response that we get from marketo does not contain any info that we could use to submit the form again to marketo or to display an option to render the original form when the user is not who we expected to be (This is worded in the default custom html snippet for known user as "Not you?").    We also didn't find a lot of info about the specific api responses when using known visitor

Hey everyone,   I was hoping someone could help guide me along my train of thought here. We're looking to begin classifying the various marketing assets we create with a certain product affiliation (i.e. a webpage or gated piece will be tied to Product 1, Product 2, etc.). With our ideal various attributes applying directly to each individual asset, I figured it'd be a no brainer to start sketching out a many-to-many custom object architecture as opposed to just tagging the Person object with new fields (might get unwieldy). For now, I've started by drafting out an "Asset" CO and an intermediary "Engagement" CO to link the Person to the Asset.   Off the bat, I'd like to understand the eventual feasibility of being able to, through automation, associate a Person with an Asset as they engage with said Asset (and of course retroactively look at webpages/form fills someone has visited/completed in the past). What exactly might this process look like from a development standpoint?

Hi, I have this code to make it so the Lead's first name is changed from all caps, what we have in the database, to just first letter cap.  When there is no first name in the database, I would like to replace it to some default text, like Hi There, but it just ends up being blank.    I insert the token, which looks like this, with the default inputted: {{my.First Name First Letter Cap:default=Hi There}} And when I check the preview, View By Default shows the subject as: {{my.First Name First Letter Cap}}. View By Person is just blank (when I select someone with no first name) or by there first name if they do have one.  This is the token code: #set( $name = $lead.FirstName ) #if( !$name.isEmpty() ) ${name.substring(0,1).toUpperCase()}${name.substring(1).toLowerCase()} #end   Is there something I need to add so that the Default text is picked up?

Is anyone having trouble contacting support? I am unable to log cases, the phone numbers go to Marketo then say 'an error occurred,' and I've tried contacting every support email. I have been trying for weeks with zero response. Any recommendations? I've had a Marketo account since 2017.

If you schedule a Smart Campaign to run in the future (say a week’s time), then before that time go and edit the Smart List filters on that campaign, would the scheduled send reflect those changes?   e.g. Smart List is [Country is GB] then edited after scheduling to add [email is not Barry@acme.org]   Would the email go to Barry@acme.org as he was eligible when the campaign was originally scheduled?

I have implemented an embeded form within an RTP dialog with standard form.onSuccess return false and code to hide the form and display a Thankyou message.  All working fine and as expected, except a few seconds later the rtp code forces a redirect anyway with the aliId= parameter appended.   Is there any way to turn this off?

Hey all, Velocity n00b stumbling through some basics here, wondering if I can get some pointers or templates for a this dynamic content structure using Marketo custom objects. My custom object represents contacts with relationships to specific accounts in SFDC and that's all happy, but now i want to set up dynamic content showing this relationship as a table, similar to a related list:    Dear Contact, Here are your accounts: Account 1 Name - Account 1 created date Account 2 Name - Account 2 created date Account 3 Name - Account 3 created date etc.   this post from a while back seemed close to what i needed but it's not working.  Any pointers would be hugely appreciated. Would also love leads on folks who teach velocity in the context of Marketo.

I heard this feature will arrive as well in chrome (though not sure)     if you do the following in EDGE 88 (chromium)                then reload a page with forms2.min.js I get a      and this results in a      Uncaught ReferenceError: MktoForms2 is not definedat HTMLFormElement.<anonymous>     question:   can I just host forms2.min.js on my own server (was reading here: https://nation.marketo.com/t5/Product-Discussions/PLEASE-HELP-Ad-blocking-Software-is-Preventing-our-Customers/m-p/114880/highlight/true#M74361 ) ? I saw you are regularly updating the file (last update 2 weeks ago) will things break if I don't keep updating the file with your releases?   an alternative would be to proxy pass the file via nginx config?!   any other solutions?  

I have an existing Engagement Nurture Stream running, with an individual EM already included in the stream (it's not a nested program). I just added a Champion/Challenger test for this Email. Will the nurture stream be smart enough to pull in the Test if it wasn't orginally part of the Email when pulled into the nurture?   

We had some issue with Salesforce - Marketo Sync for certain records. We found the reason for the sync errors to be 'Record ID Type' mismatch for contacts in both the systems.   Now to fix the issue for all the records that have failed to sync, is there a way to query the person activity log or something?  I tried to read about it but didn't find any related articles.   I would be great if someone can fill in and help me understand!

Hi,    referring to this previous post ( https://nation.marketo.com/t5/Product-Discussions/Best-way-to-count-cookied-contacts/m-p/305041#M171973 ) , it is of big importance for the company the measure the cookied leads over time, month by month. So I had the idea to create a Smart List , based on a 'Data Value Changed' with attribute 'Original Referrer' ( or by Anonymous IP as an alternative ), with an extra 'Date Of Activity' value ( e.g. in past 30 days ).   The problem is that I do not get any results in my Smart List, although I am quite sure we had some value changes.   Therefore my question : Does The Filter Data Value Changed works on all fields? And If not, how should I solve the issue in counting leads on a monthly base, for which original referrer has been changed ( has a value instead of being empty )

I have a client use case that is using 3 different workspaces for different brand strategies, and each workspace is pointing to its own leads partition.  I understand that the subscription centers are linked to the leads partitions, but in this case, a lead can be a subscriber in more than 2 partitions at the same time.  the question is, instead of having a subscription center per partition, can we have one center to allow the user to change their communication preferences, subscribe or unsubscribe from the partitions?
