We are noticing the Created Date is not accurate. It is taking the date of the most recent record vs the older record when merged. Is that normal? We use Marketo's AutoMerge.

Hi Marketo Community,    I have been experiencing intermittent form submission failures for Marketo forms on my corporate (non-Marketo Landing Page) site.   Form submissions generally function properly on our site. However, occasionally we receive the tooltips error message 'Submission failed, please try again later'.  We get this error message randomly, and can't identify a pattern or obvious reason why this would happen. This makes it very hard to reproduce and troubleshoot.   We were able to capture the console errors on a recent form submit failure (the screenshots are also below). Hello! We use Marketo + SFDC and our SF contacts can have a one-to-many-relationship with accounts. This causes problems when adding account-based email tokens as it will only pull fields from the primary account related to the contact, not the account that qualifies for the smart list filters. This is understandable behavior but I am not sure how to get past it.   Is there a way to tell Marketo to pull the token from a field on the object that caused someone to qualify for the smart list? I've used the $TriggerObject reference before but obviously that won't work for batch campaigns. Is there something similar for batch sends?   An example: A contact in Salesforce may own 3 restaurants, have the same role at all three, and therefore be related to all three accounts. Let's say one of those is an Italian restaurant. I would like to reflect the latest # of users in the mail contents every time I send the mail for the mail campaign (this e-mail will be sent every 2 weeks), I would like to do the following:    1. Share the google sheet which includes # of users 2. Fetch the E13 cell data in the Google sheet via script token and update # of users in the mail contents   Question:a) Could you tell me the best practice for updating the contents based on the web for fetching the latest data? a) Is it feasible to do the above in Marketo?

We have a bunch of leadgen forms live right now but ever since our director left the company, I connected my linkedin in our launchpoint service and new forms are not showing up nor are some leads in existing campaigns. It says the account is correctly connected and the mapping is the same as before so I'm not sure what the issue is?   How can I troubleshoot this?

Hello, We are currently using Drift Email to manage replies to our email messages, but it has become cost prohibitive. We are able to route automated and human replies and update our database based on the type of reply. Does anyone use a similar tool you'd recommend?   Thanks, Tadia

Is anyone else struggling with using the SUPPORT TICKET SYSTEM? For our org, every person is experiencing the 'SPINING WHEEL OF DEATH' when tryign to access current open or closed tickets. It is substantially impacting our efficacy of communication with Support.  When we addressed this with Support - the only suggestion has been to WHITELIST the support URL. Which makes no sense -as we CAN get in - just takes 5-6 tries.  Thoughts?

Hi there, Is there a method to prevent the sync of the lead with the invalid email to salesforce? For example: The form submission with an incorrect email will fail. Only after the email is confirmed valid (e.g. the thank-you email is delivered) will the lead be synchronized to salesforce. Our sales are tired of handling leads with invalid emails. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!  

Happy Friday, Community!   For leads that fill out a form associated with a program, I've always assumed that Marketo will assign that program as the Acquisition Program (with associated date). However, upon reading Setting Acquisition Best Practices, it seems that might not be the case for embedded Marketo forms (while we have some Marketo landing pages, our primary use of forms is embedded on our website).   If, indeed, embedded Marketo forms do not automatically set this and we have to include a Change Data Value Step in our smart campaigns: Is it safe to assume that Acquisition Program field updates are blocked automatically in Marketo? Given that this is a system only field, I can't see details for it in Field Management Should Acquisition Program Name be set up to block field updates? Or does the block on the Acquisition Program field cover this related field as well? Is it worthwhile including a condition on the Change Data Value Step to denote "if Acquisition Pr

Hello team, My company is creating a preference center outside of Marketo since we need to be able to unsubscribe from other providers. Is it possible to set up the unsubscribe url with a dynamic variable (in this case, the lead id) in Marketo, so that every mail can have that unsubscribe link in all emails?

We are attempting to utilize the JS API for Marketo to send tracking events upon successful submission of the forms that would redirect the user to a custom URL triggered  by the  form submission onSuccess event handler.   The issue I am seeing is that when the onSuccess event handler is executed, the only way to have custom redirects is to use location.href and because of the nature of the redirect , how wall network requests are cancelled once the browser identifies it is being asked to change page location.   Can an update be made to the JS API. Instead of asking us to return false and handle the redirect ourselves it would be ideal to allow us to pass the customized URL to have the code go ahead and redirect to after all the onSuccess handlers are executed(unless false is returned). Can provide if there is a recommended way to go about this, or can you help some to this solution.

Hi,   I wanted to know if it is possible to create a transition rule that says "if the lead clicks at least 3 different links of the 5 links in these emails, move them to stream 2".   If this is not possible, can we do it in a campaign?   Thank you

We have a form on our company website that begins with a dropdown to select what kind business unit you're interested in. Based on your selection, the form changes. How do I set up the alert to send to different lead owners based on which drop selection a user makes?

I want to create a transition rule based on clicks in links, like in this example:   "if people clink in this link, send them to stream 2", i am just not sure if i should create this transition rule into the stream 1 (the one that has the link" or in the stream 2 (the one i want them to move).   Thank you

Is there a way to use two fields in a custom object to calculate a third field?  For example, I have two fields on my custom object - one for the date a trip begins, and another for the number of days a trip lasts.  Can I somehow calculate the date a trip ends?  Webhook or something?   The trip end date doesn't necessarily need to be an additional custom object field, it could be calculated elsewhere - just in a way that I could use a smart campaign filter or trigger to send emails (e.g., "welcome home from your trip!") based off that data.

It’s easy to get distracted by setting up DKIM (everyone still should, don’t get me wrong) and SPF (users with custom envelope sender domains should, but standard shared instances don’t need to) and overlook other DNS tasks.   Surprisingly, those “top o’ the setup checklist” DNS records are more nice-to-haves than must-haves, unless your own org has chosen to publish these policies.   Yes, if your security and risk folks want recipients to authenticate messages that appear to be from your domain, you need DKIM + (if applicable) SPF + DMARC too. But if not, you can do without these records.   (To be clear, not having a record isn’t the same as having a record and failing validation. A broken DKIM signature is very bad, but not signing isn’t.
