Hi @alysha_khan23,

I know the program is over, but I'm wondering if you can help me with one of the practice exam questions.

Why is it that we can't draw the conclusion that there is at least one Change Data Value flow step?

@dave-silva-2 Ah, this is a tricky one for sure! For reasons known only to Marketo, a Change Score flow step is logged as Change Data Value activity type on a contact record. So if you look at the details of those activities in the screenshot, they are all Score changes and that would tell us that a Change Score flow step is being used.

Wow, thank you.

It's questions like this that had me concerned about the exam, which I passed easily yesterday. I found the exam to be easier than the practice one.

Official Wrap-up

It's been such a pleasure chatting and learning alongside all of you!

For those of you applied for the voucher, you should receive it by EOW. The codes expire in a month. Please schedule your exams AFTER you receive the code.

I think you should be able to schedule the exam for a time frame of your own convenience but I highly recommend scheduling it ASAP while the knowledge is still fresh.

If you want to stay connected with me, you can find me on LinkedIn or MOPsPROs

Thank you Alysha! This has been a great experience and I'm excited to take the exam (hopefully next week).

Happy to have served as your unofficial QA person 🙂

Hi all,

We are considering doing an instance refresh -- has anyone gone through that process?

We're trying to determine the implications of it and weighing the pros and cons.

I created a thread on Nation:

Marketo Instance Refresh - Marketing Nation

Hey @dave-silva-2! I'm not familiar with instance refreshes but I would start by asking your Account Director to outline exactly what will happen (which it sounds like you are doing). Once we have that list of what exactly will change, the community can certainly help you think through the ramifications of those changes.

Hi Alysha, thanks for the latest quiz!

It seems there isn't a correct answer set for the "Which report allows you to group people by any attribute and includes opportunity information with drill-down capabilities?" question.

Otherwise, I was happy to get them all correct 🙂

@dave-silva-2 Thank you being my beta tester 😂  I'll share all the correct answers later this week.

Thanks Alysha!

I just completed the test.

I think the first question is worded wrong, though, since it indicates "is the benefit" (singular), but then expects multiple responses.

@ellekay @dave-silva-2 @pareenko - Got a specific nudge for you three 🙂 Haven't seen a ton of comments for y'all so want to make sure you're getting your questions answers. Let me know how I can be helpful!

Hi Alysha,

I've been following along in the thread -- just haven't had many questions about the prep material so far.

However, one thing that came up with me team is the execution order of campaign processing.

I found the articles below, which outline the priority, but they don't seem to go into detail about how prioritization works when multiple campaigns are essentially the same. If they are set to the same priority, and contain the same flow steps (say, an alert), but for different alerts, does it just come down to alphabetical order? Or perhaps creation date of the campaign?

@dave-silva-2 Great question! It will be based on the time stamp of when the campaign was added to queue to run. If something of higher priority comes into the queue then it would take priority and then return to the queue based on when the lower priority things were added.

Let's kick off Week 2! Here's our plan for this week:

  • Review Section 2: Marketing Activities/Campaign Management in the Adobe Marketo Engage Business Practitioner Expert Prep Guide and all associated articles linked out. Submit any question or areas that need clarified to this group. This section accounts for 46% of the exam so let's make sure we understand the main concepts really well!
  • Continue to review the Exam objectives and scope (scroll down a bit) and send over notes on what areas you need help with.

@alysha_khan23 - Is it only for me the link to Adobe Marketo Engage Business Practitioner Expert Prep Guide  doesnt work

Areas that I might need help is of the below -

  • Summarize the utility of Webhooks in Marketo and how they are used
  • Tricky questions on Communication Limits

Thanks,

Suneetha

Took the first test - I thought I got a lot more wrong than I did. I do get major anxiety when I take the test!

Def. have to read the questions carefully though!

@ellekay This is a great score for a first attempt! And yes, reading the questions closely is super critical for a lot of Adobe cert exams. They like to get tricky with the wording and answer choices.

Welcome to Week 1! Here's our plan for this week:

  • Review Section 1: Administration and Maintenance in the Adobe Marketo Engage Business Practitioner Expert Prep Guide and all associated articles linked out. Submit any question or areas that need clarified to this group.
  • Review the Exam objectives and scope (scroll down a bit) and send over notes on what areas you need help with.
  • Take the official practice and send over notes of what questions and areas you struggled with. We will retake this test in Week 4 to help track your growth and learning.
    • To take the practice test:

      • First, log in to the Adobe Credential Management System with your Adobe ID.

      • Then, go to the Adobe Certification Exam Prep Portal to find your practice test.

I'm located in the Chicagoland suburb so I will be typically be responding in this thread CST mornings. Let's get this party started!

Took my first practice test and got an 84%!

Here are my takeaways/opportunities for improvement:

  • Identifying global assets
  • Better understanding of 'Used By'
  • Improvement of how to do quality checks
  • How to assign the appropriate acquisition program

Areas of strength:

  • Lead Management
  • Administration and Maintenance
  • Data Management

Summary: I found the scenario questions the most difficult. It was hard to discern the differences between the options that way the questions were written. Will need more practice here! Anyone else have any links or tips to share to help me in this area?

@lizmalinowski This is fantastic!

For the areas of improvements, I'll pull together some links/resources in the next few days. Can you clarify exactly what you mean by a better understand of Used By and how to do quality checks? Screenshots of relevant questions will also help.

For the scenario questions, do you mind sharing a few examples? The exam wording can be tricky so don't feel too bad!

And I'm asking about scheduling the exam so stay tuned.
