ProblemI spend a good amount of time onboarding new Adobe Analytics end-users and have failed to develop a solid onboarding process. Adobe has done a good job of adding drop zone guides and tips, however, a lot of the valuable information is scattered throughout the Help and Reference section, YouTube, etc. HypothesisI believe if Adobe developed a standardized onboarding Workspace project, including high-level starter (How To) projects, a data dictionary for standard metrics, quick links to tutorials, etc., I’d be able to streamline the onboarding process. If I’m right, new end-users will not be overwhelmed with the tool, can self-serve at their own pace, and become more engaged through some sort of “gamification” method (i.e. tests to gain advanced access).
Giving an option to add user comments during add/edit > new/current > eVar/prop/events will help a lot to manage variable change log in Adobe at the report suite level. This can be used to annotate "change reason" in reports. Thanks,Asheesh
See in the Admin Console > under Products > Permissions. How do I get a lising of the Metrics, Dimensions, etc… So what I need is a csv of the 1,400+ Metric, the 580+ Dimensions, the 50+ Report Suite Tools and the 35+ Analytics Tools. Also a short definition of each item in the Report Suite Tools and the Analytics Tools would be very useful.
With our enablement of Customer Attributes in Analytics via the Marketing Cloud, it became clear that we did not have a good way of limiting access to this data without creating a new virtual report suite that was general user friendly. Because this requires us to switch the default report suite of most of our internal users (100+ users), this is not an ideal option. There should be a way to limit Customer Attributes in Group User Management Settings (the same way we limit dimensions/metrics/tools).Though not PII, this customer-based data can be misinterpreted and misused if not managed appropriately. We'd like to limit the interaction our users have with these attributes by default, giving permission to only key members of our marketing organization.
Currently, when an alert expires this seems to happen silently. This creates a situation where someone relying on an alert may believe it is still in place but actually it has stopped working. In order to ensure continuity of important alerts, the creator and/or recipients of an alert should be notified when an alert is nearing its expiration date. Please can this be considered?
I need to be able to filter average-destroying bot data out of my Workspace Analysis reports (if it's not filtered already). It makes reporting on Average Page Depth extremely difficult. Please bring Bot Pages and Bot metrics into Workspace Analysis and Segment builder!
Hi Adobe,It will be great if minute/ time stamp level granularity can be provided for Adobe Analytics Data Warehouse extracts. This will especially help to understand the chronological journey of visitors. Also, a hit id or hit number within a visit will also help for the same. Hope Adobe can add these two features for Data Warehouse extracts soon in future. Thanks!Best regards,Srujana
As Adobe Admins we are not able to get the report suite data for the Scheduled projects, for the workspace projects which are not shared by with the admin by the users. If you could add this as a column along with other columns in the scheduled projects list along with details of all scheduled projects it would be helpful.
Came across an issue where the other party wanted numeric data specifically. Anything else would break the integration. So here is the idea:Allow for segments to be built on certain data types such as numeric, boolean, string, integer, etcAllow for segments to recognize space in a condition (ex: if evar1 contains space)
Surprised Workspace scheduling does not allow for the reports to be sent to publishing lists. Being able to schedule report to be sent to publishing lists and having reporting suite overide is a huge benefit within an organisation that has 200+ websites each with multiple reports and specific recipients.Without this we cant migrate over to using Worskpace for scheduled reports.Request ..1. Allow for publishing lists to be added 2. Allow for publishing suite override to work3 Have option to Prefix report name (and email subject) dynamically using report suite specified in publishing list.
I suggest that IBM Cloud Object Storage be added as a destination for Analytics Data Feeds. The Cloud Object Storage API is very similar to that of Amazon S3. They share common features like Buckets, Access Keys, and Secret Access Keys, so I think Adobe could leverage their prior work as they do this integration.
We manage a lot of report suites and users in our organization, and having the following functionality available via API would be hugely helpful for us, and cut down on Client Care requests. 1. Update menu customization to v 1.4. There is a method for this in 1.3, but it hasn't been implemented in 1.4--is there a plan for that?2. Ability to hide/unhide report suites in a login company. We have thousands of report suites that need hiding and a method for maintaining them over time. 3. Update Default Metrics (There is a bug currently where Default Metrics are not copied from a template. Client Care indicated this was a low priority for a fix).4. Get/Save Bot Filter Rules5. Enable Transaction ID (or at least have Transaction ID be something that can be copied from a template) 6. Enable Marketing Channels
I'd like to have the ability to export the existing set of processing rules we have in place for a particular reporting suite. We currently leverage context variables for both our sites and native apps traffic tags. The list of processing rules is easily over 70 and becoming harder to document on our internal systems. An export of any kind of all the rules currently active would allow for improved documentation for other organizations within the company.
HiWe are currently preparing the migration of Analytics users to the Adobe Experience Cloud. As we have quite a few users, we practiced the migration with five users first, which was worth it.Here the feedback they came up with and some interesting findings after 3 client support sessions.I think some of them might be interesting for your own migration :In Analytics the login happened with usernames (in our case NOT the E-Mail adress), while in the Adobe Experience cloud, the user logs in with his/her E-Mail Adress. This fact is not reflected in the login dialogs. When users use their old bookmark (e.g. sc3.omniture.com) and login to with their Adobe ID oder Federated ID, the first login attempt fails and you have to try login a second time. Current Workaround: User shall use the new url "experiencecloud.adobe.com".The example mail given in Analytics Migration Help references "marketing.adobe.com", which leads to a redirect. Seems that depending on the security settings, this leads to a
Hi,we would like to have an Option in Report Builder to "Not count Repeat Instances". This option already exist in Workspace, but we would like to have it also in Report Builder. It is really important.
Users are currently limited to only opening one template at a time from the "templates/standard templates/custom templates" window. We cannot right-click and open custom template in a new tab or window, making it difficult for users to easily open multiple templates at a time.We DO have the ability to right-click and open projects in new window from the "manage projects" view. I'd like this option to right-click & open templates in a new window to be extended to the templates view. .FEATURE REQUEST:1) Go to Workspace2) Create new project -> "custom templates"3) Add feature that allows users to "right click" on template, and open template in a new window.BENEFIT:This will improve UI functionality so that users can easily access and open multiple templatesPlease see attached word doc for more details on this feature request.
Dear Team,Currently we do not have any date ranges that are dynamic in nature and can operate on the basis of date selected in Date Filter. I had tried to custom date range which is a rolling monthly date range for last month [say 1 Mar - 31 Mar], the custom date works as current month - 1 month. Now if I set up a date filter on my report for any particular month [say 1 Oct 2018 - 31 Oct 2018], the custom date range range still reflects data for 1 Mar - 31 Mar but I expect the data to be displayed for 1 Sep - 30th Sep (Date selected-1 month). My assumption is any custom date range works on CURRENT DATE and NOT selected date in date filter of report.Could you create a functionality to change custom date filter to show data based on Date Range selected on Report and NOT CURRENT DATE.Thanks,
It would be great if we could get a direct link to share that would always open a template, much like the function at "Share -> Get Project Link" within workspaces. (of course you can share a pre-saved workspace like we had to do before custom templates were available but this defeats the point of templates again)The current URL when clicking "Create" after selecting a template works until the session ends. I've tried manipulating the URL to make it always work but so far no luck.I would like to have a direct link so I can include it in documentation to share with the less AA-literate colleagues so they can make the most of the templates without having to search through the list of templates which is hard enough when they all have the same image. Thanks
Currently we duplicating query using the below option,"Right Click > Copy Request" then "Right Click > Paste > Absolute Input" We need shortcut like "Ctrl + C" to copy and "Ctrl + V" to Paste Absolute Input, which helps create many queries in short time.RegardsAshok
Hi,Currently in the workspace we can use the option "Display only selected rows".Can we add the opposite : "Hide selected rows" or "Delete selected rows" and recalculate the total ?Best regards,Mathilde
Could we please introduce additional preset date range selectors in Data Warehouse? Currently, we don't have any options between 7 and 30 days (14 & 21 days would be great). And the custom date range doesn't include a rolling data range feature. This causes problems for regularly scheduled reports.
In Adobe Analytics the Character limit of PageName is 100 bytesReference:https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/sc/implement/pageName.html If PageName exceeds the limit, it gets to strip off so increase the limit upto 255(characters)
I was referring this page browserWidth , as per this document browserWidth will be setup before "doPlugin" but this is not correct for AppMeasurement. It was working fine for s_code.
Any chance to move tracking calls to use HTTP2 protocol in order to take advantage of performance? In our particular Adobe Analytics use case we have many resources requesting from the same exact domain and instead of sharding the domains it would be great if HTTP2 was used in order to allow multiplexing and other benefits to kick in. Fastly has had HTTP/2 available for all of its customers since last Fall. You can see their write-up on the benefits of it here: https://www.fastly.com/blog/http2-now-general-availability Additionally, you can see Information on the benefits and features of how HTTP/2 solves the "head-of-line blocking" problem here: https://http2.github.io/faq/#why-is-http2-multiplexed
It would be helpful if delimiters for the various operators with list capabilities were standardized to one character. Using spaces doesn't allow you to search on items with spaces in them (perhaps using single quotes?).Also it's a total guess as to what delimiters should be used with which operators currently. For instance "contains any of" is a space delimiter while "equals any of" is a comma. The only reason I know is because Jen Lasser told me (and even she wasn't sure if "contains" could take commas). There should be an indication of which delimiter is required when an operator is selected. It's a simple text addition and would avoid a good deal of trial and error.
